C-Clamp Installation
- Attach the C-clamp to the edge of your desk.
- Tighten the screw from the top side until the clamp is secure.
Grommet Installation
- If your desk has an existing through-hole (0.4"-2.4" / 10-60mm diameter), use it. Otherwise, drill a 3/8" (10mm) hole.
- Insert the grommet base through the hole and secure it from underneath the desk.
3.2 Assemble the Arm
- Connect the lower arm to the base.
- Connect the upper arm to the lower arm.
3.3 Attach VESA Plate to Monitor
- Secure the detachable VESA plate to the back of your monitor using the provided screws. Ensure the protrusion on the VESA plate faces downward for correct orientation.
3.4 Mount Monitor to Arm
- Slide the VESA plate with the attached monitor onto the arm's mounting head.
- Tighten the knob on the mounting head to secure the monitor.
- Caution: Do not release the monitor immediately after hanging. Wait until you are sure it is stable in its position.
3.5 Cable Management

4.1 Adjusting Gas Spring Tension
The gas spring tension needs to be adjusted to match your monitor's weight. Use the included Allen key to adjust the tension points on the arm.
- If the arm drops, turn the screw counter-clockwise to increase tension for heavier monitors.
- If the arm rises too easily, turn the screw clockwise to decrease tension for lighter monitors.
- Position and hold the arm horizontally during adjustment until it stays in position.

4.3 Height Adjustment
The monitor arm allows for a height adjustment range from 8.7" to 18.7" (22 cm to 47.5 cm) and a maximum arm extension of 22.4" (56.9 cm).
5. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ARES WING monitor arm, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Regular Cleaning: Wipe down the arm and base with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid harsh chemicals that may damage the finish.
- Check Connections: Periodically inspect all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight and secure. Retighten if necessary.
- Gas Spring Adjustment: Re-adjust the gas spring tension if you change monitors or notice any sagging or difficulty in positioning.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your monitor arm, refer to the solutions below:
- Monitor is sagging or not holding position: The gas spring tension may be too low for your monitor's weight. Refer to section 4.1 to increase the tension.
- Monitor is difficult to move or too stiff: The gas spring tension may be too high. Refer to section 4.1 to decrease the tension.
- Monitor is not tilting correctly: The tilt adjustment screw on the VESA head might be too tight or too loose. Loosen or tighten the screw as needed until the desired tilt is achieved.
- Arm feels unstable: Ensure the C-clamp or grommet mount is securely tightened to the desk. Check that the desk thickness is within the specified range for your chosen mounting method.
