1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your PowerSmart 18-Inch 144cc Gas Powered 3-in-1 Walk-Behind Push Lawn Mower. Please read this manual thoroughly before assembly, operation, or maintenance to ensure proper use and to prevent injury or damage.
2. Safety Information
Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including eye protection, hearing protection, and sturdy footwear when operating the lawn mower. Ensure the area is clear of debris, children, and pets before starting. Never operate the mower in wet conditions or on excessively steep slopes. Always disengage the blade and turn off the engine before performing any maintenance or clearing blockages.
3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking and Handle Assembly
Your PowerSmart lawn mower is designed for easy assembly with no tools required. Simply unfold the handle and secure it into the operating position. Ensure all locking mechanisms are fully engaged before use.

3.2 Adding Engine Oil
Before first use, add the included 10W30 oil to the engine. Locate the oil fill cap/dipstick on the engine. Remove it, and slowly pour the oil until it reaches the top mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill. Securely replace the cap.

3.3 Adding Fuel
Fill the fuel tank with fresh, unleaded gasoline. Do not use E85 or E15 fuel. Always fill the tank in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool. Avoid spilling fuel.
3.4 Attaching Grass Bag or Side Discharge Chute
Your mower offers 3-in-1 functionality: bagging, mulching, and side discharge. For bagging, attach the easy-to-empty rear bag to the rear discharge opening. For side discharge, lift the side discharge cover and insert the side discharge chute. For mulching, ensure both the bag and side discharge chute are removed and the mulching plug (if included) is installed.

3.5 Adjusting Cutting Height
The mower features a 6-position dual lever height adjustment, allowing cutting heights from 1.5 inches to 3.9 inches. Adjust the levers on each wheel to your desired cutting height. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Starting the Engine
To start the 144cc 4-cycle OHV engine, ensure the auto choke is engaged. Pull the recoil starter cord firmly and smoothly until the engine starts. The engine is designed for easy starting, often with a single pull.

4.2 Mowing Techniques
For best results, mow when the grass is dry. Overlap cutting paths slightly to ensure an even cut. The 18-inch durable steel deck and heavy blade provide ultra-fine cuts. The vortex tunnel design disperses grass clippings evenly when mulching. The durable 7-inch wheels provide easy maneuverability in tight spaces.

4.3 Safety During Operation
Always maintain a firm grip on the ergonomic handle. The mower is equipped with a safety release mechanism; releasing the handle will stop the engine and blade. Never attempt to clear the discharge chute or grass bag while the engine is running.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your lawn mower. Always disconnect the spark plug wire before performing any maintenance.
5.1 General Cleaning
After each use, clean grass clippings and debris from the mower deck and wheels. The durable steel deck is built to last, but regular cleaning prevents buildup and corrosion.

5.2 Oil Level Check
Check the engine oil level before each use. Add oil if necessary to maintain the proper level on the dipstick.
5.3 Blade Inspection and Sharpening
Inspect the cutting blade regularly for sharpness and damage. A dull blade can tear grass, leading to an unhealthy lawn. Sharpen or replace the blade as needed. Refer to the parts diagram for blade identification.
5.4 Air Filter and Spark Plug
Periodically inspect and clean the air filter. A clogged air filter can reduce engine performance. Check the spark plug for wear and proper gap; replace if necessary. Refer to the parts diagram for part numbers.

5.5 Storage
When storing the mower for extended periods, ensure the fuel tank is empty or treated with a fuel stabilizer. Clean the mower thoroughly. The mower's design allows for 60% less space in storage by folding the handle, making it compact for garages or sheds.
