3. Operation and Adjustments
The ARES WING Dual Monitor Arm provides extensive adjustability for optimal viewing comfort and productivity.
3.1 Adjusting Gas Spring Tension
The gas spring tension needs to be adjusted to match the weight of your monitor. This ensures the arm holds the monitor securely in place without drifting up or down.
- Position and hold the arm horizontally.
- Use the supplied Allen key to adjust the tension. Turn clockwise (+) if the arm drops, and counter-clockwise (-) if the arm rises.
- Adjust until the arm stays in position when released.

4. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your ARES WING Dual Monitor Arm.
- Cleaning: Wipe down the monitor arm with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
- Check Connections: Periodically check all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight and secure. Re-tighten if necessary.
- Gas Spring Adjustment: If you notice the monitor arm drifting or not holding its position, re-adjust the gas spring tension as described in Section 3.1.
5. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your monitor arm.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Monitor arm drifts up or down. | Gas spring tension is not correctly adjusted for monitor weight. | Adjust the gas spring tension using the supplied Allen key (refer to Section 3.1). |
| Monitor does not stop at desired tilt position. | Tilt screw is too loose. | Tighten the tilt screw on the VESA head until the monitor holds its position. (Recommendation: Loosen the screw by half a turn if too tight). |
| Base is wobbly or unstable. | Mounting clamp/grommet is not tightened sufficiently. | Ensure the C-clamp or grommet mount is securely tightened to the desk. Check desk thickness compatibility. |
| USB ports are not functioning. | USB cables not properly connected to computer/power source. | Verify that the USB-A and USB-C cables from the monitor arm base are securely plugged into your computer or a suitable power adapter. |
