1. Important Safeguards
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:
- Read all instructions before use.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.

- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.

- Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to “off,” then remove plug from wall outlet.

2. Parts and Features
The GreenLife Digital Rice Cooker includes several components designed for ease of use and efficient cooking.


- Control Panel: Features one-touch presets for White Rice, Brown Rice, Quinoa, and Steel Cut Oats, along with a digital display, delay timer, and keep warm/stop functions.
- Removable Nonstick Pot: A 1.5-quart capacity pot with PFAS-free ceramic nonstick coating for easy food release and cleaning. It can cook up to 2 cups of uncooked rice, yielding 4 cups cooked.
- Rice Paddle: Designed for serving cooked grains without damaging the nonstick surface.
- Measuring Cup: Specifically calibrated for use with this rice cooker to ensure correct water-to-grain ratios. Note: This is not a standard US measuring cup (1 rice measuring cup = 2/3 U.S. cup).
- Cool-Touch Exterior: Heat-resistant housing for safe handling.
3. Before First Use
Before using your GreenLife Digital Rice Cooker for the first time, please follow these steps:
- Remove all packaging materials, stickers, and labels from the appliance.
- Wash the removable nonstick inner pot, rice paddle, and measuring cup in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. These parts are also dishwasher safe.
- Wipe the exterior of the rice cooker with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
- Ensure all parts are dry before plugging in the appliance.
4. Setup
To set up your rice cooker for operation:
- Place the rice cooker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface.
- Ensure the inner pot is clean and dry before placing it into the main unit.
- Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. The display will illuminate.
5. Operating Instructions
General Cooking Steps

- Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice or grains.
- Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Place the rinsed rice/grains into the removable nonstick pot.
- Add the appropriate amount of water according to the cooking guide (Section 6) or the water lines inside the pot.
- Close the lid securely.
- Press the 'Menu' button to select the desired grain type (White Rice, Brown Rice, Quinoa, or Steel Cut Oats). The corresponding indicator light will illuminate.
- Press the 'Start' button to begin cooking. The display will show the remaining cooking time.
- Once cooking is complete, the cooker will automatically switch to the 'Keep Warm' function.
Delay Timer Function
The delay timer allows you to set a future time for cooking to start.
- After adding ingredients and selecting your grain type, press the 'Delay Timer' button.
- Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the desired delay time.
- Press 'Start' to activate the delay timer. The cooker will begin cooking after the set delay period.
Keep Warm Function
The rice cooker automatically enters 'Keep Warm' mode after cooking is finished. To manually activate or deactivate:
- Press the 'Keep Warm/Stop' button to toggle the function.
- The 'Keep Warm' indicator light will be on when active.

Use the following chart as a guide for cooking various grains. All cup measurements refer to the included rice measuring cup (1 rice measuring cup = 2/3 U.S. cup).

7. Maintenance and Cleaning
Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your rice cooker.

- Removable Pot, Rice Paddle, and Measuring Cup: These accessories are dishwasher safe for convenient cleaning. For hand washing, use warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge to protect the ceramic nonstick coating.
- Main Unit: Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
- Lid: The inner lid can be removed for thorough cleaning. Ensure it is properly reattached before next use.
- Always ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and storing the appliance.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your rice cooker, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Rice is too hard/undercooked: Ensure the correct water-to-grain ratio was used. Check that the lid was securely closed during cooking.
- Rice is too soft/mushy: Reduce the amount of water slightly for future batches. Ensure the correct water-to-grain ratio was used.
- Rice sticks to the pot: Verify that the nonstick inner pot is not scratched or damaged. Ensure the correct water-to-grain ratio was used.
- Cooker does not turn on: Check that the power cord is securely plugged into both the appliance and a working electrical outlet.
- Buttons are difficult to press: Ensure the control panel is clean and free of debris. Apply gentle, firm pressure.
