7. Maintenance and Care
- Keep the device clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth.
- Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device yourself, as this will void the warranty.
- Ensure proper ventilation around the device during prolonged use to maintain optimal performance and heat dissipation.
8. Troubleshooting
- Device Not Recognized:
- Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the hub and your host device.
- Try connecting the hub to a different USB-C port on your device.
- Restart your host device.
- For new M.2 SSDs, ensure they are properly initialized and formatted in your operating system's Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (macOS).
- Slow Data Transfer Speeds:
- Verify that your host device's USB-C port supports 10Gbps (USB 3.1 Gen2 or higher).
- Ensure the M.2 SSD installed is capable of 10Gbps speeds.
- Avoid using excessively long or low-quality USB-C cables. Use the provided cable or a certified equivalent.
- Some M.2 drives may be limited by the 10Gbps USB interface, even if the drive itself is faster.
- Overheating:
- The aluminum alloy casing is designed for heat dissipation. Ensure the thermal pad is correctly installed on the M.2 SSD.
- Avoid blocking the ventilation holes on the device.
- During heavy use, the enclosure may become warm, which is normal for high-speed SSDs.
