Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the scale from its packaging. Inspect for any damage.
  2. Battery Installation:

    Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale. Open the cover and insert two CR2032 lithium batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the battery compartment cover securely.

  3. Placement: Place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface to ensure accurate readings. Avoid soft or uneven surfaces.

Operating Instructions

  1. Power On/Off:

    Press the "TARE/ON/OFF" button to turn the scale on. The LCD display will light up and show "0g" when ready. To turn off, press and hold the "TARE/ON/OFF" button for a few seconds, or the scale will automatically shut off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery life.

  2. Unit Conversion:

    Press the "UNIT" button to cycle through available measurement units (e.g., grams (g), ounces (oz), pounds (lb), milliliters (ml)). Select your desired unit before weighing.

  3. Weighing Items:

    Place the item directly onto the center of the weighing platform. The weight will be displayed on the LCD screen. Ensure the item does not exceed the 5 kg maximum capacity.

  4. Tare Function (Zeroing):

    To weigh multiple ingredients in the same container or to exclude the weight of a container:

    • Place an empty container on the scale. The display will show its weight.
    • Press the "TARE/ON/OFF" button. The display will reset to "0g".
    • Add your first ingredient to the container. The display will show the weight of the ingredient.
    • To add another ingredient, press the "TARE/ON/OFF" button again to zero the scale, then add the next ingredient. Repeat as needed.
  5. Overload Indicator:

    If "EEEE" or "O-Ld" appears on the display, the scale is overloaded. Remove items immediately to prevent damage.

  6. Low Battery Indicator:

    If "Lo" appears on the display, the batteries are low and need to be replaced. Refer to the "Battery Installation" section under Setup.

Care and Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the scale surface with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or immerse the scale in water.
  • Storage: Store the scale in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries promptly when the "Lo" indicator appears to ensure continued accuracy and prevent battery leakage.
