3. Setup and Installation
Proper installation ensures optimal performance and comfort. The V8 headset offers two main installation methods for the main unit and a straightforward process for the speakers and microphone.
3.1 Main Unit Installation
You can choose between a clip-on installation or a 3M adhesive attachment.
3.1.1 Clip-on Installation
- Attach the clip-on bracket to the main V8 unit.
- Slide the bracket onto the edge of your helmet, ensuring it is securely fastened.
3.1.2 3M Adhesive Installation
- Peel off the protective film from the 3M adhesive pad on the bracket.
- Firmly press the bracket onto a clean, flat surface on your helmet. Allow sufficient time for the adhesive to bond before attaching the main unit.
- Slide the main V8 unit onto the attached adhesive bracket.

3.2 Speaker and Microphone Installation
- Open the inner lining of your helmet.
- Attach the speakers to the ear pockets inside the helmet using the provided adhesive pads. Ensure they are positioned directly over your ears for optimal sound.
- Route the microphone cable to the front of the helmet, positioning the microphone near your mouth for clear voice pickup. Secure excess cables within the helmet lining.
- Close the helmet lining, ensuring no cables are pinched.
3.3 Power On/Off
To power on the device, press and hold the "Intercom Key" and "Multifunction Key" simultaneously for 2 seconds. The blue indicator light will turn on, and you will hear a sound prompt: "Power On." To power off, repeat the same action.
4. Operating Instructions
The SWAREY V8 headset offers various modes for communication and entertainment.
4.1 Pairing for Two-Person Intercom Mode
- After powering on both V8 units, press and hold the intercom key on both devices for 2 seconds. The indicator lights will flash red and blue alternately, with a sound prompt: "Pairing."
- On one device, press the intercom key once. You will hear a sound prompt: "Two-Person Mode." The indicator light will flash red and blue quickly.
- Wait for the green indicator light to turn on; when it flashes slowly, pairing is successful, and you will hear the sound prompt: "Intercom Connected." You will then enter two-person intercom mode.

4.2 Pairing for Multi-Person Intercom Mode (Up to 4 Riders)
- After powering on all V8 units (up to 4), press and hold the intercom key on each device for 2 seconds. The indicator lights will flash red and blue alternately, with a sound prompt: "Pairing."
- On one device, double-click the intercom key. You will hear a sound prompt: "Multi-Person Networking Mode." The indicator light will flash red and blue quickly.
- Wait for the green indicator light to turn on; when it flashes slowly, pairing is successful, and you will hear the sound prompt: "Intercom Connected." You will then enter multi-person intercom mode. A slowly flashing green indicator light indicates successful pairing of multiple devices.

4.3 Bluetooth Signal Activation (Connecting to Phone)
After powering on the V8 unit, press and hold the multifunction key for 3 seconds. You will hear a sound prompt: "Pairing." On your mobile phone, enable Bluetooth and search for "V8" in the list of available devices. Select "V8" to connect. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation sound.

4.4 Music Playback
- **Pause/Start Playback**: Single-click the multifunction key to pause or start music playback.
- **Volume Control**: Single-click the "+" or "-" keys to adjust the volume.
- **Next/Previous Track**: Long-press the "+" key for the next track, and long-press the "-" key for the previous track.
4.5 Voice Assistant
Single-click the voice assistant key (microphone icon) to activate your phone's voice assistant (e.g., Siri, Google Assistant).

- **Answer/End Call**: Single-click the multifunction key to answer an incoming call or end an ongoing call.
- **Reject Call**: Double-click the multifunction key to reject an incoming call.

4.7 Music Sharing Function in Two-Person Intercom Mode
When the intercom headphones are connected to both the intercom and a music player (via Bluetooth), simultaneously press and hold the "Volume +" and "Volume -" buttons on the unit playing music. You will hear a sound prompt: "Music Sharing," allowing you to share the music you're listening to with another intercom headphone.

4.8 Connecting to Non-Intercom Bluetooth Devices
In two-person intercom mode, to match intercom headphones with other Bluetooth devices that do not have intercom functionality (e.g., standard Bluetooth headphones), power on the V8 unit. Then, press and hold the intercom key on the V8 unit. The indicator light will flash red and blue quickly, activating Bluetooth. At the same time, turn on the Bluetooth signal of the other device to search for signals. Then single-click the intercom key on the V8 unit to connect.
