5. Setup and Installation
5.1 Electrical Installation
- Power Off: Before starting, ensure the main power supply to the installation area is switched off at the circuit breaker.
- Prepare Opening: Cut a circular hole in the ceiling with a diameter between Ø100mm and 112mm. The required recessed depth is 34mm.
- Wiring: Connect the spotlight's wires directly to your AC 200-240V power supply. The red wire is Live (L) and the blue wire is Neutral (N). No transformer is required.
- Secure Spotlight: Gently push the spring clips on the sides of the spotlight upwards and insert the spotlight into the prepared ceiling hole. Release the clips to secure the spotlight in place.
- Power On: Restore power to the circuit. The spotlight should illuminate.
5.2 Connecting to Alexa (Direct Link)
DUSKTEC spotlights can connect directly to Alexa without needing a separate hub or the BRmesh app for basic functions.
- Ensure your Alexa device (e.g., Echo Dot) is set up and connected to your Wi-Fi network.
- Install the spotlights and turn on the power.
- Say: "Alexa, find devices."
- Alexa will search for and discover the new lights. Once found, you can control them using voice commands.
