Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your Poly Edge E220 IP Phone. Please read this guide thoroughly to ensure proper use and to maximize the features of your device.

Setup
1. Unboxing and Component Check
Before you begin, ensure all components are present in the package:
- Poly Edge E220 IP Phone unit
- Handset and coiled cord
- Ethernet cable
- Desk stand (pre-attached or separate)
2. Physical Connections
- Connect the Handset: Plug one end of the coiled cord into the handset and the other end into the handset port on the phone base.
- Network Connection: Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the back of the phone and the other end to your network switch or router. The phone supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), eliminating the need for a separate power adapter if your network supports PoE.
- Power Connection (if not using PoE): If PoE is not available, connect a compatible power adapter (sold separately) to the power port on the back of the phone and then to a power outlet.

3. Desk Stand and Wall Mounting
The phone can be used on a desk with its integrated stand or mounted on a wall. The stand can be adjusted to different angles for optimal viewing. For wall mounting, use the integrated wall mount bracket on the back of the phone.

Operating Instructions
1. Basic Call Functions
- Making a Call: Pick up the handset or press the Speakerphone button. Dial the number using the keypad and press the Dial or Send button (if applicable).
- Answering a Call: Pick up the handset, press the Speakerphone button, or press the flashing line button.
- Ending a Call: Hang up the handset or press the End Call button.
2. Keypad and Navigation
The phone features a standard numeric keypad and dedicated function buttons. Use the navigation cluster (up, down, left, right arrows, and OK button) to navigate through menus on the 2.8" color display.

3. Speakerphone, Mute, and Volume
- Speakerphone: Press the Speakerphone button to activate or deactivate the speakerphone.
- Mute: Press the Mute button to mute your microphone during a call. Press again to unmute.
- Volume: Use the + and - buttons to adjust the volume of the handset, speakerphone, or ringer.
4. Contacts and Directory
The phone allows you to store and access contacts. Use the Directory or Contacts soft key on the display to manage your contact list. You can add, edit, or delete entries as needed.
5. Bluetooth Connectivity
The Poly Edge E220 features integrated Bluetooth 5.0 for connecting compatible headsets. To pair a Bluetooth headset:
- Access the phone's Settings menu.
- Navigate to Bluetooth and enable it.
- Put your Bluetooth headset into pairing mode.
- Select your headset from the list of available devices on the phone's display.

6. Multi-line Features
The phone supports up to 16 lines and contacts, accessible via 4-line keys and a pagination key. This allows for efficient handling of multiple calls and contacts simultaneously.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning
To clean your phone, use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents. The device is enhanced with Microban® antimicrobial product protection, which actively reduces the growth of bacteria on its surfaces.
2. General Care
Keep the phone away from excessive moisture, heat, and direct sunlight. Do not attempt to disassemble the phone, as this will void the warranty.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Poly Edge E220 IP Phone, try the following basic troubleshooting steps:
- No Dial Tone: Check all cable connections, especially the Ethernet cable. Ensure the phone is receiving power (either via PoE or power adapter).
- Poor Call Quality: Verify your network connection. If using a headset, ensure it is properly connected or paired via Bluetooth.
- Display Issues: Restart the phone by disconnecting and reconnecting the power source.
