Maintenance
- Always unplug the dimmer switch from the wall outlet before cleaning.
- Wipe the surface of the dimmer switch and touch pad with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals.
- Ensure the dimmer switch is completely dry before plugging it back into a power source.
Troubleshooting
- Light does not turn on or dim:
- Ensure the dimmer switch is securely plugged into a working wall outlet.
- Verify the lamp is properly plugged into the side outlet of the dimmer switch.
- Check if the bulb is dimmable and within the specified wattage limits (75W for LED/CFL, 200W for incandescent). Non-dimmable bulbs will not work.
- Try a different, known-working bulb to rule out a faulty bulb.
- Ensure the lamp itself is functional by plugging it directly into a wall outlet.
- Flickering light:
- Confirm the bulb is specifically designed as a dimmable LED or CFL. Non-dimmable bulbs may flicker or not function correctly.
- Ensure the bulb's wattage is within the dimmer's specifications.
- Touch pad is unresponsive:
- Unplug the dimmer from the wall for 30 seconds, then plug it back in to perform a soft reset.
- Ensure the touch pad surface is clean and dry.
