The HotRC CT-8A and CT-8AT are advanced 8-channel RC radio transmitters designed for remote control vehicles such as cars and tanks. This system features a 2.4G frequency hopping technology for strong anti-interference performance and stable operation. The CT-8AT receiver includes an integrated gyroscope for enhanced control stability. This manual provides detailed instructions for setup, operation, and maintenance of your HotRC RC system.
The system offers a ground control distance of up to 300-350 meters and an air distance of up to 800 meters, making it suitable for various RC applications.
2. Product Overview

3. Setup
3.1. Battery Installation and Charging
The HotRC CT-8A/CT-8AT transmitter supports multiple power methods:
- 18650 Battery: Install an 18650 battery into the designated compartment.
- 2S 7.4V LiPo Battery: A 2S 7.4V LiPo battery can be used for power, especially to ensure stable screen display power.
- USB Charging: The Type-C interface supports convenient USB charging.
To charge, connect a USB Type-C cable to the charging port on the transmitter. The transmitter can also charge an installed 18650 battery.

3.2. Receiver Connection
The package includes two types of receivers: F-08A (without Gyro) and F-08AT (with Gyro). Choose the appropriate receiver for your application.
- Connect the receiver to your RC vehicle's electronic speed controller (ESC) and servos according to your vehicle's wiring diagram.
- Ensure the input voltage to the receiver does not exceed 12V. Use a regulated power supply for input.
- The receiver antenna requires special protection to prevent breakage. Pay attention to the installation position to avoid magnetic field interference.
- The receiver has undergone waterproofing treatment from the factory. However, exercise caution and ensure proper waterproofing during use, especially in wet conditions.
- Connect the voltage return line to the voltage return interface on the receiver if you wish to monitor battery voltage on the transmitter display.

3.3. Binding (Code Matching)
To bind the transmitter and receiver:
- Ensure both the transmitter and receiver are powered off.
- Press and hold the code matching button on the receiver while powering it on. The receiver's LED should start flashing, indicating it's in binding mode.
- Power on the transmitter. The transmitter should automatically detect and bind with the receiver.
- Once bound, the receiver's LED will become solid, indicating a successful connection.
- Test all channels to ensure proper functionality before operating your RC vehicle.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Power On/Off
- Power On: Long press the power button on the transmitter until the screen illuminates.
- Power Off: Long press the power button again until the screen turns off.
4.2. Display Interface and Navigation
The 2.4-inch TFT color screen provides a comprehensive U-interface with real-time parameters and channel definitions.

5. Maintenance

- Antenna Care: Protect the receiver antenna from physical damage and ensure it is not bent sharply or kinked.

- Battery Care: Follow proper charging and discharge procedures for LiPo batteries. Do not overcharge or over-discharge.
6. Troubleshooting
- No Power: Check battery installation and charge level. Ensure the power button is long-pressed correctly.
- No Signal/Loss of Control:
- Ensure the transmitter and receiver are properly bound.
- Check the distance between the transmitter and receiver; ensure it's within the operational range.
- Verify there are no strong sources of interference (e.g., other 2.4GHz devices, large metal objects).
- Inspect receiver antenna for damage or improper positioning.
- Erratic Control:
- Recalibrate the transmitter if available in the menu.
- Check for mechanical issues with the vehicle's servos or linkages.
- If using CT-8AT, ensure the gyroscope settings are appropriate for your vehicle.
- Screen Issues: If the screen flickers or has low power, ensure you are using an 18650 battery or a 2S 7.4V LiPo battery for stable power.
