Troubleshooting Guide
If you encounter any issues with your slow cooker, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Slow cooker does not turn on. | Not plugged in; power outlet issue; On/Off button not pressed firmly. | Ensure the unit is securely plugged into a working outlet. Press the On/Off button firmly. |
| Food is not cooking properly or taking too long. | Incorrect temperature setting; lid not sealed properly; too much liquid; frequent lid removal. | Verify the correct cooking mode (Low, Medium, High) is selected. Ensure the lid is seated correctly. Avoid lifting the lid frequently, as this releases heat and extends cooking time. Consider using the Medium setting for faster cooking if needed. |
| Initial odor during first use. | Manufacturing residues burning off. | This is normal for new appliances. Run the slow cooker with water on High for 4 hours before first food use, ensuring good ventilation. The odor should dissipate. |
| Nonstick coating appears damaged. | Use of metal utensils or abrasive cleaners. | Always use wooden, silicone, or plastic utensils. Clean with soft sponges and non-abrasive detergents. |
