4. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Placement: Place the scale on a firm, level, and stable surface. Ensure there are no vibrations or drafts that could affect accuracy.
- Assemble Weighing Pan:
- Attach the upper support to the scale base.
- Place the stainless steel weighing pan onto the upper support. Ensure it sits securely and does not wobble.
- Power Connection:
- Connect the power cord to the three-core socket at the rear of the scale.
- Plug the other end of the power cord into a suitable power outlet.
- Alternatively, the scale can operate on its internal rechargeable lithium battery.
- Initial Power On: Flip the power switch located at the rear of the scale to the "ON" position. The LED display will illuminate.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Basic Weighing
- Turn on the scale using the power switch.
- Wait for the display to show "0.0" or "0.00" and stabilize.
- Place the item(s) to be weighed onto the center of the weighing pan.
- Read the weight displayed on the LED screen.

Figure 5.1: Precise Weighing. The image shows the scale in operation, weighing small screws, demonstrating its 0.1g precision and minimum weight capacity of 2g.
5.2 Tare Function
The Tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, so only the weight of the contents is measured.
- Place an empty container on the weighing pan.
- Press the ZERO/TARE button. The display will reset to "0.0" or "0.00".
- Add the items to be weighed into the container. The display will show the net weight of the items.
5.3 Unit Conversion
The scale supports multiple weighing units: grams (g), kilograms (kg), pounds (lb), ounces (oz), and carats (ct).
- With an item on the pan or the display at zero, press the UNIT button.
- Each press will cycle through the available units (g → kg → lb → oz → ct).
- The selected unit will be indicated on the LED display.

Figure 5.2: Multiple Unit Display. This image illustrates the scale's ability to display measurements in different units, including kilograms, grams, pounds, ounces, and carats, selectable via the UNIT button.
5.4 Counting Function (PCS)
The counting function allows you to count a large number of identical items based on a sample weight.
- Place a sample quantity of items (e.g., 10, 20, 50, 100 pieces) on the weighing pan.
- Press and hold the PCS button until the display shows a number (e.g., "10", "20", "50", "100").
- Press the UNIT button to select the sample quantity that matches the number of items you placed on the pan.
- Press PCS again to confirm the sample. The display will now show the count of the sample.
- Add more items of the same type to the pan. The display will show the total count of items.
- To exit counting mode, press the PCS button again.
6. Calibration
The VEVOR JCS-C scale features a manual calibration mode to ensure consistent accuracy. Calibration should be performed periodically or if you suspect inaccurate readings.
- Ensure the scale is on a stable surface and the weighing pan is empty.
- Turn on the scale.
- Press and hold the CAL button until the display shows "CAL".
- The display will then show a flashing weight value (e.g., "5000g" or "10000g"), indicating the required calibration weight.
- Place the exact specified calibration weight onto the center of the weighing pan.
- Wait for the display to stabilize and show "PASS" or return to normal weighing mode with the calibration weight displayed.
- Remove the calibration weight. The scale is now calibrated.
Note: A precise calibration weight is required for accurate calibration. If you do not have one, contact VEVOR support for guidance.

7. Power Supply
The VEVOR JCS-C scale offers flexible power options:
- AC Power: Use the provided power cord to connect the scale to a standard electrical outlet. This is recommended for continuous operation.
- Rechargeable Lithium Battery: The scale is equipped with an internal rechargeable lithium battery for portable use. The battery charges automatically when the scale is connected to AC power.
- Battery Indicator: The LED display will show a low battery indicator when the battery level is critical. Connect the scale to AC power to recharge.

Figure 7.1: Dual Power Design. This graphic highlights the scale's ability to be powered by both a rechargeable lithium battery for portability and a standard AC power connection via its three-core socket.
8. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the scale body with a soft, damp cloth. For the stainless steel weighing pan, use a mild detergent if necessary. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the scale in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: If storing for a long time, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) to prolong its lifespan. Recharge every few months if not in use.
- Inspection: Regularly check the power cord for any damage. Ensure the rubber feet are intact for stability.
9. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Scale does not turn on. | No power, low battery, or faulty power cord. | Check power connection. Charge the battery. Inspect power cord for damage. |
| Inaccurate readings. | Unstable surface, drafts, scale not level, need for calibration, overloaded. | Place on a stable, level surface. Avoid drafts. Perform manual calibration (Section 6). Do not exceed max capacity. |
| Display shows "O-Ld" or "EEEE". | Overload. | Remove items immediately. Do not exceed 10 kg (22.05 lb). |
| Display shows "UNST". | Unstable reading. | Ensure scale is on a stable surface, free from vibrations or air currents. |
| Counting function is incorrect. | Incorrect sample quantity set, items not uniform in weight. | Ensure the sample quantity matches the items placed. Use only identical items for counting. |
