3. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance. All necessary accessories, including the window kit, are provided.

Window Kit Installation:

  1. Prepare the Window: Open the window where the unit will be installed. The window kit is compatible with double/single-hung windows and sliding sash windows (26-50 inches).
  2. Assemble Window Kit: Adjust the window sealing plate to fit the window opening. Secure it in place.
  3. Connect Exhaust Hose: Attach one end of the exhaust hose to the air outlet on the back of the portable AC unit.
  4. Vent Through Window: Connect the other end of the exhaust hose to the opening in the window sealing plate. Ensure the hose is extended and not kinked to allow proper hot air exhaust.
  5. Position the Unit: Place the unit on a flat surface, ensuring there is at least 20 inches of space around the unit for proper airflow.

4. Operating Instructions

The unit can be controlled via the control panel on top of the unit or the included remote control.

Control Panel & Remote Control:

The LED display shows current settings. The remote control allows for convenient adjustments from a distance of up to 23 feet.

Operating Modes:

  • Cooling Mode (AC):

    Select "Cool" mode. Adjust the desired temperature between 59°F and 88°F using the temperature up/down buttons. The unit will cool the room to the set temperature.

  • Fan Mode:

    Select "Fan" mode. The unit will circulate air without cooling. Choose from 3 fan speeds (Low, Medium, High) to adjust airflow intensity.

  • Dehumidifier Mode:

    Select "Dehumidify" mode. The unit will remove excess moisture from the air, with a capacity of up to 40 pints per day. Automatic condensate treatment and self-evaporating operation minimize the need for manual drainage.

Additional Functions:

  • Sleep Mode: Activates quiet operation (under 50dB) and automatically adjusts temperature and fan speed for comfortable sleep and energy efficiency.
  • Timer Function: Set the unit to turn on or off automatically after a specified period (1-24 hours).
  • Adjustable Wind Swing: Manually adjust the louvers for desired airflow direction.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures efficient operation and extends the lifespan of your unit.

Cleaning the Air Filter:

The unit features HyperFilter Technology with washable air filters. Clean the filters every two weeks or more frequently if used in dusty environments.

  1. Unplug the Unit: Always disconnect the power supply before cleaning.
  2. Remove Filters: Locate and carefully remove the air filters from the unit.
  3. Clean Filters: Wash the filters with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow them to air dry completely before reinserting. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  4. Reinstall Filters: Once dry, carefully place the filters back into their original position.

Draining the Unit:

While the unit has a self-evaporating system, in high humidity conditions, the internal water tank may fill up. If the "Full" indicator lights up, the unit needs to be drained.

  1. Turn Off and Unplug: Ensure the unit is off and unplugged.
  2. Position for Drainage: Place a shallow pan or tray under the drainage port at the bottom rear of the unit.
  3. Remove Drain Plug: Carefully remove the drain plug to allow water to flow out.
  4. Replace Drain Plug: Once all water has drained, securely replace the drain plug.

Storage:

If storing the unit for an extended period, ensure it is completely drained and the filters are clean and dry. Store in a cool, dry place, covered to protect from dust.
