User Manual for JYINCPED Vented Diesel Fuel Cap
Model: VC007- Black Transfer Tank cap
1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the JYINCPED Vented Diesel Fuel Cap. This manual provides essential information for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of your new transfer tank cap. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure safe and efficient performance.
2. Product Overview
2.1 Key Features
- Venting Mechanism: Designed to vent pressure inside the tank and release dangerous vapor buildup, preventing over-expansion. It also allows air into the tank to prevent vacuum formation and collapse when fuel is drawn out.
- Leak Prevention: Features a spring-loading mechanism and an internal gasket to ensure a tight seal when closed, preventing leaks and excessive gas vapor venting even during vehicle movement.
- Durable Construction: Made from high-quality iron material, offering waterproof and corrosion-resistant properties for long-term service.
- Easy Installation & Removal: Engineered for straightforward alignment, tightening, and removal.
2.2 Compatibility
This transfer tank cap is compatible with standard 2-inch NPT threaded tank bung bases. It serves as a direct replacement for Dee Zee Fill-Rite venting pressure tank caps. It is suitable for various applications including ground, farm, commercial, and distillate tanks, such as:
- Transfer tanks
- Fuel tanks
- Gas tanks
- Diesel tanks
- Auxiliary fuel tanks
- Mobile fuel tanks
- Weather guard tanks

3. Installation
Follow these steps for proper installation of the transfer tank cap:
- Ensure the tank bung base is clean and free of debris.
- Align the vented gas cap with the notch on the tank's bung base.
- Push the cap down firmly.
- While pushing down, twist the cap clockwise until it is tightened all the way. Ensure it is securely fastened to prevent leaks and maintain proper venting function.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Normal Operation
Once installed, the cap automatically manages tank pressure. It allows air into the tank as fuel is drawn out, preventing vacuum formation and tank collapse. Conversely, it releases excess vapor buildup to prevent over-expansion.

4.2 Removing the Cap
To remove the transfer tank cap:
- Twist the cap counter-clockwise slowly towards the notch. This action will vent any built-up pressure safely.
- Once pressure is vented, push down on the cap.
- Twist to lift the pressure vent cap and remove it completely.
WARNING: Always remove the cap slowly to allow pressure to vent gradually. Failure to do so may result in fuel spray and potential injury.
5. Maintenance
The JYINCPED Vented Diesel Fuel Cap is designed for durability and minimal maintenance. However, regular inspection can prolong its lifespan and ensure optimal performance:
- Periodic Inspection: Regularly check the cap and its gasket for any signs of wear, cracks, or damage. Ensure the spring mechanism operates smoothly.
- Cleaning: Keep the cap and the tank's bung area clean from dirt, debris, and fuel residue. Use a mild detergent and water, then dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the material or gasket.
- Gasket Integrity: The internal gasket is crucial for preventing leaks. If the gasket appears brittle, cracked, or compressed, it may need replacement to maintain a proper seal.
