Setup and Operation

General Setup

Before configuring the DS700 for specific modes, ensure it is properly powered. Connect the included USB power cable to the DS700's USB IN port and the power adapter, then plug the adapter into a power outlet.

1. DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) Mode

In DAC mode, the DS700 converts digital audio signals (from your TV, PC, etc.) into analog signals for output to your stereo system or speakers, enhancing sound quality.

1. Slide the mode switch on the DS700 to the "DAC" position.
2. Connect the "OPT IN" or "COAX IN" jack of the DS700 to the "AUDIO OUT" (Optical or Coaxial) jack of your TV or other digital audio source using the appropriate cable.
3. Connect the 2RCA/OPT/COAX OUT jack of the DS700 to the "AUDIO IN" (RCA, Optical, or Coaxial) jack of your stereo system or active speakers.
4. Adjust the volume using the multifunctional knob on the DS700.

TV Audio Settings for Optical/Coaxial Output:

For optimal performance when connecting your TV via Optical or Coaxial, ensure your TV's audio output settings are configured correctly. Navigate to your TV's sound settings and set the Digital Output Audio Format to PCM/Stereo or turn off Dolby Digital. The exact menu options may vary by TV brand.

2. RX (Receiver) Mode

In RX mode, the DS700 receives Bluetooth audio from your smartphone, tablet, or PC and outputs it to your wired stereo system, headphones, or speakers.

1. Slide the mode switch on the DS700 to the "RX" position.
2. Connect the DS700's RCA, Optical, Coaxial, or 3.5mm output to the corresponding audio input on your amplifier, active speakers, or headphones.
3. Press and hold the "PAIR" button for approximately 2 seconds to enter pairing mode. "Pairing..." will be displayed on the OLED screen.
4. On your smartphone or other Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and select "DS700" from the list of available devices to connect.
5. To pair a second device, press and hold the "PAIR" button again for about 2 seconds. The DS700 supports dual-link connectivity in RX mode.

3. TX (Transmitter) Mode

In TX mode, the DS700 transmits audio from your TV or other audio source to Bluetooth headphones or speakers.

1. Slide the mode switch on the DS700 to the "TX" position.
2. Connect the "OPT IN" or "COAX IN" jack of the DS700 to the "AUDIO OUT" (Optical or Coaxial) jack of your TV or other digital audio source.
3. Make your Bluetooth headphones or speaker enter pairing mode.
4. Press and hold the "PAIR" button on the DS700 for approximately 2 seconds. "Searching..." will be displayed on the OLED screen.

6. To pair a second device, short press the "PAIR" button to enter pairing mode again. The DS700 supports dual-link connectivity in TX mode.
