Welcome to the Evercade VS-R Retro Gaming Console. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your console to ensure an optimal gaming experience. The Evercade VS-R is designed for home gaming, offering a wide library of classic arcade, console, and home computer games via physical cartridges. Setup Guide
1. Connecting to Your TV
The Evercade VS-R connects to modern televisions using an HDMI cable (not included). Ensure your TV is set to the correct HDMI input channel.
2. Powering the Console
The Evercade VS-R requires a 5V USB power supply. A 1 Amp to 3 Amp power block is compatible, with 2 Amps recommended for optimal performance. Using a power supply below 1.55 Amps may lead to screen blackouts or freezing. Connect the USB power cable to the console and then to a suitable power adapter (not included).

3. Connecting Controllers
The console features 4 USB ports for controllers, supporting up to 4 players simultaneously. Plug the included Evercade VS-R controller into any of the USB ports. The console is also compatible with Evercade VS Classic controllers and many third-party USB controllers.

4. Inserting Game Cartridges
The Evercade VS-R features a dual cartridge slot. Open the top cover of the console and gently insert your Evercade game cartridge(s) into the available slots until they click into place. Close the cover before powering on.

5. Initial Wi-Fi Setup
The console has built-in Wi-Fi for easy updates. During initial setup, you will be prompted to connect to your wireless network. Please note that the Evercade VS-R primarily supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks. If you experience connection issues, ensure your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz signal or temporarily configure it to do so if possible.
Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
Press the power button on the console to turn it on. To power off, navigate to the system menu and select the shutdown option, or press and hold the power button.
2. Navigating the Menu
Use the D-pad and action buttons on your controller to navigate through the console's user interface. Select games from your inserted cartridges or access system settings.
3. Starting a Game
Once a cartridge is inserted and the console is powered on, the games available on that cartridge will appear in the main menu. Select a game and press the appropriate button to start playing.
4. Saving Game Progress
The Evercade VS-R supports multiple save states, allowing you to save your progress at any point during gameplay. Refer to the in-game menu or console's system options for save state management.
5. Multiplayer Gaming
With four USB ports, the console supports up to four players in compatible games. Simply connect additional controllers to the available USB ports.
6. Display Options
The console offers 1080p output for modern HDMI TVs. You can adjust multiple screen ratios and apply various filters (e.g., CRT scan lines) through the system settings to customize your retro gaming experience.
7. System Updates
Connect your console to Wi-Fi to receive system updates. These updates may include new features, performance improvements, or bug fixes. Follow the on-screen prompts for installation.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Console

Troubleshooting
- Console not powering on:

- No display on TV:
- Check that the HDMI cable is firmly connected to both the console and your TV. Confirm your TV is set to the correct HDMI input source. Try a different HDMI cable or port if available.
- Controller not responding:
- Ensure the controller is securely plugged into one of the console's USB ports. Test with a different USB port or another compatible controller if possible.
- Cannot connect to Wi-Fi:
- Verify your Wi-Fi network is active and within range. The Evercade VS-R primarily supports 2.4GHz networks; ensure your router is configured to broadcast a 2.4GHz signal. Restart your router and the console, then attempt to connect again.
- Game freezing or crashing:

- Cartridge not recognized:
- Ensure the cartridge is fully and correctly inserted into the slot. Gently remove and re-insert the cartridge. Check for any visible damage or debris on the cartridge contacts.
