4. Setup
Follow these steps to prepare your Diyeeni Pocket Saxophone for first use.
4.1 Charging the Instrument
- Locate the DC 5V charging port on the side of the instrument.
- Connect the provided USB charging cable to the instrument and a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or computer USB port.
- The LED display will indicate charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 2-3 hours.
- Once fully charged, disconnect the charging cable.
4.2 Attaching the Mouthpiece
- Gently slide the silicone mouthpiece onto the top end of the instrument until it is securely in place.
- Ensure the mouthpiece is firmly attached to prevent air leakage during play.
5. Operating Instructions
This section details how to operate your Diyeeni Pocket Saxophone.
5.1 Power On/Off
- To power on, press and hold the Power Switch button (refer to Figure 3.1). The LED display will illuminate.
- To power off, press and hold the Power Switch button again until the LED display turns off.
5.2 Selecting Tones
The instrument offers 13 different tone options:
- Press the Tones button (refer to Figure 3.1) to cycle through the available instrument sounds.
- The LED display will show the current tone number.
- Available tones include: Alto/Soprano Saxophone, Clarinet, Hulusi, Trumpet, Oboe, Ocarina, Flute, Pipe, Harp, Marimba, Violin, Erhu.
5.3 Adjusting Blowing Sensitivity
The instrument has 3 levels of blowing sensitivity:
- Press the Blow button (refer to Figure 3.1) to adjust the sensitivity.
- Choose a sensitivity level that matches your playing style and breath control.
5.4 Volume Control
- Use the Volume Change buttons (refer to Figure 3.1) to increase or decrease the output volume.
5.5 Octave Transposition
You can transpose the instrument up or down by 12 semitones:
- Press Octave +1 to raise the octave.
- Press Octave -1 to lower the octave.
- Press Octave Reset to return to the default octave.
5.6 Fingering
The instrument uses a simplified fingering system. Refer to Figure 3.2 for a detailed fingering chart. The note induction keys respond to touch, allowing for intuitive play.
5.7 MIDI Connectivity
The Diyeeni Pocket Saxophone supports both wireless (Bluetooth) and wired MIDI connections.
5.7.1 Bluetooth MIDI (Wireless)
- Ensure the instrument is powered on.
- On your iOS or Android device, enable Bluetooth.
- Open your preferred MIDI learning app or soft source application.
- Within the app's settings, search for and connect to the Diyeeni Pocket Saxophone.
5.7.2 Wired MIDI
- Connect a MIDI cable (not included) from the instrument's MIDI output port to your computer or tablet's MIDI input.
- Ensure your computer or tablet recognizes the MIDI input device.
5.8 Using Headphones
For private practice, connect standard 3.5mm headphones to the headphone jack on the side of the instrument (refer to Figure 3.4).

6. Maintenance
Proper care will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your instrument.
6.1 Cleaning the Mouthpiece
- The silicone mouthpiece is removable for easy cleaning.
- After each use, remove the mouthpiece and rinse it with lukewarm water. Mild soap can be used if necessary.
- Ensure the mouthpiece is completely dry before reattaching it to the instrument or storing.
- Replace the mouthpiece if it shows signs of wear or damage.
6.2 Cleaning the Instrument Body
- Wipe the body of the instrument with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and fingerprints.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish.
6.3 Storage
