Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Install Battery: If not pre-installed, insert the rechargeable battery into the compartment on the back of the radio. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
- Attach Antenna: Screw the long-range extended antenna onto the top of the radio until finger-tight.
- Charge Battery: Connect the USB charging cable to the radio's charging port and to the AC power block. Plug the AC power block into a wall outlet. Allow the radio to charge fully before first use. The display will indicate charging status.
- Attach Belt Clip: Secure the belt clip to the back of the radio using the provided screws, if desired.
Operating Instructions
- Power On/Off: Rotate the Power/Volume knob clockwise to turn the radio on. Rotate counter-clockwise until it clicks to turn off.
- Adjust Volume: Rotate the Power/Volume knob to adjust the listening volume.
- Select Channel: Use the Up/Down arrow buttons on the keypad to scroll through available channels. Press the 'OK' button to confirm your selection.
- Transmit (Push-to-Talk - PTT): Press and hold the 'PTT' button on the side of the radio to transmit your voice. Speak clearly into the microphone. Release the 'PTT' button to listen.
- Use Flashlight: Press the dedicated Flashlight button on the keypad to activate or deactivate the built-in flashlight.
- Channel Presets: Use the 'P1' and 'P2' buttons for quick access to your pre-programmed favorite channels.

Warranty and Support
Warranty Information
Rugged Radios guarantees its Radios, Intercoms & Headsets to be free from manufacturing defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase. Aviation headsets are warrantied for 7 years. All other Rugged Radios branded products carry a one-year warranty.
In the event that a defect covered by the warranty occurs during the applicable period, Rugged Radios, at its discretion, will either repair or replace the product. This action shall be the full extent of Rugged Radios' liability and the Customer’s sole and exclusive reparation.
Rugged Radios shall not be responsible for any defects or damage that, in Rugged Radios' view, are a result of mishandling, abuse, misuse, improper storage, or improper operation of the device, including use in conjunction with equipment that is electronically or mechanically incompatible with, or of inferior quality to, the product, as well as failure to maintain the environmental conditions specified by the manufacturer.
