Setup and Connections
Follow these steps to set up your SMSL DO200 PRO DAC:
- Connect Audio Sources: Use appropriate cables (USB, Optical, Coaxial, HDMI ARC) to connect your audio sources (PC, TV, game console, CD player) to the corresponding input ports on the DO200 PRO.
- Connect Audio Outputs: Connect the RCA or XLR outputs of the DO200 PRO to your amplifier or active speakers.
- Attach Bluetooth Antenna: Screw the provided Bluetooth antenna into its designated port on the rear panel.
- Connect Power: Connect the AC power cable to the DO200 PRO and then to a power outlet.
- Power On: Press the control knob or the power button on the remote control to turn on the device.
HDMI ARC Connection
The DO200 PRO supports HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) for receiving audio from compatible televisions. This allows for audio and visual synchronization.

- Connect a standard HDMI cable (19-pin) from your TV's HDMI (ARC) port to the DO200 PRO's HDMI (ARC) input.
- Ensure your TV is compatible with ARC. Refer to your TV's user manual for specific settings.
- Set your TV's audio output format to PCM/LPCM.
- Note: The DO200 PRO supports HDMI ARC, not HDMI eARC. It does not support CEC (Consumer Electronics Control), meaning the TV remote cannot control the DAC's volume or power synchronously. This product does not output video.
USB Connection Modes
The DO200 PRO offers two USB modes for different applications:
- USB 1.1 Mode: Driver-free, suitable for gaming consoles like PS5 or Nintendo Switch.
- USB 2.0 Mode: For PC, tablets, and other devices, requiring driver installation for optimal performance.
- To switch between modes, a restart of the DO200 PRO is required for the change to take effect.

Operation
Basic Controls
- Power On/Off: Press the control knob or the power button on the remote.
- Volume Adjustment: Rotate the control knob or use the volume buttons on the remote.
- Input Selection: Press the input button on the remote or navigate through the menu using the control knob.
- Menu Navigation: Press the control knob to enter the menu. Rotate to scroll, press again to select.

4V/5V Output Level Adjustment
The DO200 PRO allows adjustment of the output voltage level to 4V or 5V, providing compatibility with various amplifiers and different dynamic ranges.

Troubleshooting
- No Sound Output:
- Check all cable connections (input, output, power).
- Ensure the correct input source is selected on the DO200 PRO.
- Verify the volume level is not muted or set too low.
- If using HDMI ARC, confirm your TV's audio output is set to PCM/LPCM and the TV supports ARC.
- If using USB, ensure the correct USB mode (1.1 or 2.0) is selected and drivers are installed for USB 2.0. Restart the unit after changing USB modes.
- Distorted Audio:
- Check the 4V/5V output level switch on the bottom of the unit. Ensure it matches the input sensitivity of your amplifier to avoid clipping.
- Verify the source audio file quality.
- Bluetooth Connection Issues:
- Ensure the Bluetooth antenna is securely attached.
- Confirm the DO200 PRO is in Bluetooth input mode.
- Delete previous pairings on your device and re-pair.
- Reduce distance between the DO200 PRO and the Bluetooth device.
Maintenance
