3. Setup and Installation
The EMKE Rain Shower System is designed for straightforward wall-mounted installation. While installation is user-friendly, professional installation is recommended for optimal results and to ensure compliance with local plumbing codes.
3.1. Before You Begin
- Check Package Contents: Verify all components listed in the packing list are present and undamaged.
- Tools Required: Gather necessary tools such as a drill, level, measuring tape, wrench, and sealant.
- Water Supply: Ensure hot and cold water supply lines are accessible and can be shut off.
- Wall Preparation: The installation surface must be sturdy and capable of supporting the shower system's weight.
3.2. Installation Steps
- Shut Off Water Supply: Locate and turn off the main water supply to your bathroom.
- Remove Existing Fixtures: Carefully remove any old shower fixtures.
- Mark Drilling Points: Use the provided template (if any) or measure carefully to mark the drilling points for the main unit and wall brackets. Ensure the unit is level.
- Drill Holes: Drill holes at the marked points and insert wall anchors.
- Mount Main Unit: Secure the main shower unit to the wall using the provided screws and brackets.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Water Flow and Temperature Control
- Main Control Knob: Rotate the main knob to adjust water flow and turn the shower on/off.
- Thermostatic Knob: The temperature is preset to 38°C (100.4°F) for safety. To increase the temperature, press the safety button on the thermostatic knob and rotate it counter-clockwise. To decrease, simply rotate clockwise.
- LED Display: The integrated LED screen will show the current water temperature.
- WarmStart™ Function: Activate the WarmStart feature (if applicable, typically a separate button or setting) to purge cold water from the pipes before you step in, ensuring instant warm water.
4.2. Shower Outlet Selection
The control panel features buttons to select different water outlets:
- Rain Shower: Press the rain shower button to activate the overhead rain shower.
- Hand Shower: Press the hand shower button to activate the main hand shower.
- Mini Hand Shower: Press the mini hand shower button for the child-friendly or specialized hand shower.
- Bottom Spout: Press the bottom spout button to use the integrated faucet.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your EMKE Rain Shower System.
5.1. Cleaning
- General Cleaning: Clean the surface of the shower system with a soft cloth and mild soap or a non-abrasive bathroom cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive pads, or acidic cleaners, as these can damage the matte black finish.
- Nozzle Cleaning: The silicone nozzles on the rain shower head and hand showers are designed for easy cleaning. Gently rub them with your finger to dislodge any mineral buildup.
- Glass Shelf: Clean the glass shelf with a standard glass cleaner and a soft cloth.
5.2. Filter Replacement
The integrated dechlorination filter helps improve water quality. It is recommended to replace this filter every six months to maintain its effectiveness.

- Shut Off Water: Turn off the main water supply to the shower system.
- Locate Filter Housing: Identify the filter housing, typically located within or near the main control unit.

- Close Housing: Securely close the filter housing.
