Setup Guide
Follow these steps to set up your Jensen Home Stereo System:
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all items listed in the packing list are present: main unit, two speakers, remote control, and dust cover.
- Placement: Place the main unit and speakers on a stable, flat surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. Keep the system away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture.
- Speaker Connection: Connect the speaker wires from the main unit to the corresponding terminals on the back of each speaker. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -) for optimal sound.
- Power Connection: Plug the AC power cord into a wall outlet.
- Remote Control Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the remote control and insert two AAA batteries (not included), observing the correct polarity.
- Dust Cover Installation: Carefully place the clear dust cover over the turntable platter on the top of the main unit.

Operating Instructions
General Operation
- Power On/Off: Press the POWER button on the front panel or remote control to turn the unit on or off.
- Volume Control: Rotate the VOLUME knob on the main unit or use the VOL+ / VOL- buttons on the remote to adjust the sound level.
- Function Selection: Press the FUNCTION button repeatedly on the main unit or remote to cycle through modes: PHONO (Turntable), CD, TAPE, FM, AM, Bluetooth.
Turntable Operation (PHONO)
- Select PHONO function.
- Open the dust cover.
- Place a record on the turntable platter.
- Select the appropriate speed (33⅓, 45, or 78 RPM) using the SPEED switch. For 45 RPM records, place the included 45 RPM adapter on the spindle.
- Release the tonearm lock.
- Gently lift the tonearm using the cue lever and position it over the desired track on the record.
- Lower the tonearm slowly onto the record using the cue lever. Playback will begin.
- At the end of the record, the tonearm will automatically return to its rest position (auto-stop feature). Lift the tonearm, return it to the rest, and engage the lock when finished.
CD Player Operation
- Select CD function.
- Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the CD tray.
- Place up to three CDs into the trays, label side up.
- Press the OPEN/CLOSE button again to close the tray. The system will read the discs.
- Press PLAY/PAUSE to start playback.
- Use SKIP/SEARCH buttons (◀◀ / ▶▶) to navigate tracks. Hold to fast forward/rewind.
- Press STOP to end playback.
- The system supports MP3, CD, and CD-R/RW formats.
Dual Cassette Deck Operation
- Select TAPE function.
- Press the OPEN/EJECT button for Deck 1 or Deck 2 to open the cassette door.
- Insert a cassette tape with the open edge facing upwards.
- Close the cassette door.
- Press PLAY on the desired deck to start playback.
- Use FAST FORWARD / REWIND buttons to navigate.
- Press STOP/EJECT to stop playback and eject the tape.
- To record, ensure a blank tape is in Deck 2 (recording deck). Select the desired source (PHONO, CD, FM/AM, or TAPE 1 for dubbing). Press RECORD on Deck 2, then PLAY on Deck 2 and the source.
Bluetooth Operation
- Select Bluetooth function. The display will show "BT" and flash, indicating pairing mode.
- On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "JENSEN JMC-1250" from the list of devices.
- Once paired, the display will stop flashing and show "BT". You can now stream audio from your device to the stereo system.
- Control playback (play/pause, skip tracks) from your connected device or using the system's controls.
AM/FM Tuner Operation
- Select FM or AM function.
- Extend the FM wire antenna for better reception. For AM, rotate the unit for best reception.
- Press the TUNING UP / DOWN buttons to manually tune to a station.
- Press and hold the TUNING UP / DOWN buttons for automatic station scanning. The tuner will stop at the next strong signal.
- To save a station as a preset, tune to the desired station, then press PROGRAM, use PRESET UP / DOWN to select a preset number, and press PROGRAM again to confirm.

Maintenance
- General Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
- Dust Cover: Keep the dust cover closed when the turntable is not in use to prevent dust accumulation on the platter and stylus. Clean the dust cover with a soft, damp cloth.
- Stylus Care: The stylus (needle) is delicate. Clean it periodically with a soft brush, brushing from back to front. Replace the stylus if sound quality deteriorates or if it is visibly damaged.
- CD Player: Use a clean, lint-free cloth to wipe CDs from the center outwards. Avoid touching the playing surface.
- Cassette Deck: Periodically clean the tape heads, pinch rollers, and capstans with a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol. This helps maintain sound quality and prevent tape damage.
