2. Setup Guide

2.1 Unpacking and Assembly

1. Carefully remove all components from the packaging: the main feeder unit, food tray, and power adapter.
2. Attach the food tray to the main feeder unit. It is designed to snap securely into place and can be easily detached for cleaning.

2.2 Power Supply Options

The feeder offers two power options:

• DC Adapter: Connect the provided 5V DC adapter to the feeder and a power outlet.
• Battery Backup: For uninterrupted feeding during power outages, install 3 alkaline D-cell batteries (not included) in the battery compartment located at the bottom of the unit.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Filling the Food Hopper

1. Open the lid of the food hopper by pressing the finger pinch hole.
2. Ensure the desiccant pouch (included) is placed in its holder under the lid to keep food fresh.

3. Fill the hopper with dry pet food. The feeder is suitable for kibble sizes ranging from 2-12mm (0.07-0.5 inches) in diameter.

3.2 Programming Feeding Schedule

The feeder features a programmable display screen for setting meal times and portions.

1. Set Current Time: Press the 'SET' button (middle button) to enter time setting mode. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the hour and minute. Press 'SET' again to confirm.
2. Set Meal Times: Continue pressing 'SET' to cycle through meal settings (up to 8 meals per day). For each meal, use '+' and '-' to set the desired feeding time.
3. Set Portions: After setting the meal time, use '+' and '-' to adjust the portion size (1 to 50 portions per meal).
4. Voice Recording: Press and hold the microphone button for 10 seconds to record a custom voice message. This message will play 3 times at each scheduled meal time to call your pet.

5. Manual Feed: At any time, you can press the 'FEED' button to dispense a single portion of food manually. This is useful for initial testing or providing extra treats.
