2. Safety Instructions

Please read all safety instructions carefully before operating the appliance to prevent injury or damage. Keep this manual for future reference.

  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the power supply matches the machine's requirements (115 Volts). Do not operate with a damaged power cord or plug. Always plug into a grounded outlet.
  • Water Connection: Connect the machine to a potable water supply. Ensure all water connections are secure to prevent leaks.
  • Placement: Place the ice maker on a stable, level surface. Allow adequate ventilation around the unit. Do not block air vents.
  • Handling: Do not tilt the machine more than 45 degrees. After transport, keep the unit upright for at least 24 hours before plugging it in to allow the refrigerant to settle.
  • Cleaning: Disconnect power before cleaning. Use only recommended cleaning agents.
  • Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the appliance during operation.

3. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance of your ice maker. Follow these steps carefully:

3.1 Unpacking and Initial Placement

  • Carefully remove the ice maker from its packaging.
  • Place the unit in its desired location, ensuring it is upright.
  • Important: Allow the ice maker to stand upright for at least 24 hours before connecting it to power. This allows the compressor oils and refrigerants to settle.

3.2 Water and Drain Connections

The ice maker requires both a water inlet and a drain connection for continuous operation.

  • Connect the water-inlet hose: Attach the provided water inlet hose to a potable water supply and to the designated water inlet port on the back of the machine. Ensure connections are tight to prevent leaks.
  • Connect the water-outlet hose: Attach the drain hose to the water outlet port. Ensure the drain pipe is positioned below the machine's drain outlet for proper gravity drainage. The length of the drain pipe can be adjusted as needed.

  • Interior Cleaning: Periodically clean the ice storage bin and other internal components with a mild detergent and water. Rinse thoroughly.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your ice maker, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Ice Production: Check if the machine is plugged in and powered on. Ensure water supply is connected and turned on. Verify that the water shortage indicator is not lit.
  • Ice Not Forming Properly: Check ambient temperature; high temperatures can affect efficiency. Ensure proper ventilation around the machine. Verify water flow.
  • Machine is Noisy: Some operational noise from the compressor and ice dropping is normal. Ensure the machine is on a stable, level surface.
  • Ice Melting in Bin: The storage bin is insulated but not refrigerated. Some melting is normal, especially in warmer environments. Ensure the drain is clear.
  • Error Codes: Refer to the control panel display. If an error code appears, consult the full troubleshooting guide on the manufacturer's website or contact customer support.
