4. Setup

Your SAMEBIKE CY20 electric bicycle comes 90% pre-assembled. Follow these steps for final assembly and initial preparation:

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the bicycle from its packaging. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
  2. Unfolding: Release the folding clasp and unfold the frame until it locks into place. Secure the handlebar stem in its upright position.
  3. Handlebar Adjustment: Adjust the handlebar height and angle for a comfortable riding position. Ensure all quick releases are tightened securely.
  4. Seat Post Installation: Insert the seat post into the frame and adjust the saddle height. Ensure the quick release is firmly closed.
  5. Pedal Installation: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. Thread the pedals into the crank arms by hand, then tighten firmly with a wrench. Note that the left pedal has a reverse thread.
  6. Initial Battery Charge: Before your first ride, fully charge the battery. Connect the charger to the battery charging port and then to a power outlet. The indicator light on the charger will change when fully charged.
  7. Tire Inflation: Inflate tires to the recommended pressure indicated on the tire sidewall.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

  • To power on the bicycle, press and hold the power button on the LCD display.
  • To power off, press and hold the power button again.

5.2 Riding Modes

The SAMEBIKE CY20 offers three riding modes:

  1. Pedal Mode (Normal Bicycle): Ride the bicycle like a traditional bike without electric assistance.
  2. Pedal Assist Mode (PAS): The motor provides assistance as you pedal. Adjust the assist level using the controls on the handlebar. Higher levels provide more assistance.
  3. Electric Mode (Throttle): Use the thumb throttle to engage the motor without pedaling. This mode provides full electric power.

5.3 Gear Shifting

The bicycle is equipped with a 7-speed mechanical shifter. Use the shifter on the right handlebar to change gears according to terrain and desired speed. Shift gears smoothly to avoid strain on the drivetrain.

5.4 Braking

The SAMEBIKE CY20 features dual disc brakes. Apply both brake levers gently and evenly to slow down or stop. Avoid sudden, hard braking, especially at high speeds, to maintain control.

  • Battery Care:

7. Troubleshooting
