Setup and First Use

Unpacking and Initial Cleaning

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers from the coffee maker.
  2. Wash the water reservoir, brew basket, permanent filter, Ninja pod adapter, and Ninja Scoop in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and air dry.
  3. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
  4. Place the coffee maker on a clean, dry, and level surface.

First Clean Cycle

Before brewing your first beverage, run a clean cycle to prime the system.

  1. Fill the water reservoir to the MAX fill line with fresh water.
  2. Ensure the brew basket is empty and no pod is inserted. Close the brew head.
  3. Place a large mug or carafe (at least 24 oz) on the drip tray.
  4. Plug in the coffee maker. The power button will illuminate.
  5. Press the "Clean" button (if available, otherwise select the largest brew size and run a cycle without coffee).
  6. Discard the water after the cycle is complete. Your coffee maker is now ready for use.

Operating Instructions

Brewing with Ground Coffee

  1. Fill the water reservoir with fresh water to your desired brew size.
  2. Open the brew head and insert the removable brew basket with the permanent filter.
  3. Use the Ninja Scoop to add ground coffee to the permanent filter. Refer to the scoop markings for recommended amounts based on brew size.
  4. Close the brew head firmly.
  5. Place your mug or travel mug on the drip tray.
  6. Select your desired brew size (6, 8, 10, 12, 14, or 24 oz) using the "Size" button.
  7. Select your desired brew style (Classic, Rich, Over Ice, or Specialty) using the "Style" button.
  8. Press the "Brew" button to start brewing.

Brewing with Coffee Pods

  1. Fill the water reservoir with fresh water to your desired brew size.
  2. Open the brew head and insert the Ninja pod adapter.
  3. Place a K-Cup compatible coffee pod into the adapter.
  4. Close the brew head firmly.
  5. Place your mug on the drip tray.
  6. Select your desired brew size (6, 8, 10, or 12 oz) using the "Size" button.
  7. Select your desired brew style (Classic, Rich, Over Ice, or Specialty) using the "Style" button.
  8. Press the "Brew" button to start brewing.

Using the Built-in Milk Frother

  1. Pour cold or hot milk/milk alternative into a mug.
  2. Position the mug under the frother arm.
  3. Lower the frother arm into the milk.
  4. Press and hold the frother button (if applicable) or manually pump the frother until desired froth consistency is achieved.
  5. Lift the frother arm and wipe clean immediately after use.

Care and Maintenance

Daily Cleaning

Descaling

Over time, mineral deposits (scale) can build up in your coffee maker, affecting performance and flavor. The "Clean" indicator light will illuminate when descaling is recommended.

  1. Ensure the brew basket is empty and no pod is inserted.
  2. Pour 16 oz of white vinegar into the water reservoir, then fill the rest of the reservoir with water up to the MAX fill line.
  3. Place a large mug or carafe (at least 24 oz) on the drip tray.
  4. Press the "Clean" button. The descaling cycle will begin.
  5. Once the cycle is complete, discard the solution.
  6. Rinse the water reservoir thoroughly and fill it with fresh water to the MAX fill line.
  7. Run two full water-only cycles (select 24 oz brew size) to rinse the system.
  8. The "Clean" light should turn off. If it remains on, repeat the descaling process.
