3. Setup and Installation
3.1 GGP-01 Double Pickup Installation
The GGP-01 pickup is designed for easy, non-invasive installation into the soundhole of your acoustic guitar. No drilling is required for the pickup unit itself.

Figure 1: Wiring diagram for the GGP-01 pickup installation. The pickup unit is placed inside the soundhole, with the piezo pickup and tail nail connecting wires routed internally and secured with wire clips. The tail nail connects to the output jack.
- Prepare the Guitar: Loosen the guitar strings to allow access to the soundhole and bridge area.
- Install the Pickup Unit: Gently slide the main GGP-01 pickup unit into the guitar's soundhole. Ensure it is securely clipped to the edge of the soundhole.
- Connect Piezo Pickup: If using the piezo pickup, carefully place it under the saddle of the bridge. Route its connecting wire inside the guitar body.
- Route Wiring: Use the provided wire clips to secure all internal wiring along the inside of the guitar body, leading towards the endpin.
- Install Tail Nail/Output Jack: The tail nail serves as the output jack. This typically requires drilling a hole at the guitar's endpin if one is not already present. Secure the output jack firmly.
- Battery Installation: The GGP-01 uses a button cell battery. Open the battery compartment on the pickup unit and insert the battery, observing polarity. A low battery indicator will light up when replacement is needed.
- Restring and Tune: Once all components are installed and secured, restring and tune your guitar.

- Unfold the Stand: Gently unfold the legs of the A-frame stand until they lock into place, forming a stable base.
- Adjust Supporting Arms: Extend or retract the adjustable supporting arms to accommodate the size of your guitar (acoustic, electric, ukulele, or bass). Ensure the arms securely cradle the instrument.
- Placement: Place the stand on a flat, stable surface.
- Position Guitar: Carefully place your guitar onto the stand, ensuring it rests securely on the padded arms and base.

4. Operating Instructions (GGP-01 Pickup)
The GGP-01 pickup features intuitive controls for adjusting your guitar's amplified sound.

Figure 4: Close-up view of the GGP-01 pickup controls, including the microphone volume, tone (treble/bass), phase knob, and master volume. The battery indicator is also visible.
- Master Volume: Use the 'VOLUME' slider to adjust the overall output level of the pickup.
- Microphone Volume: The 'MIC' knob controls the volume of the internal microphones, allowing you to blend the microphone sound with the piezoelectric pickup.
- Tone Adjustment: The 'TONE' slider adjusts the treble and bass frequencies to achieve your desired sound.
- Phase Reversal: The 'PHASE' button allows you to switch between plus phase and anti-phase sound effects. This can be useful for reducing feedback in certain environments.
- Battery Indicator: The 'BATT' LED will illuminate when the battery level is low, indicating that the battery needs to be replaced soon.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the pickup and stand with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Battery Replacement (GGP-01): Replace the button cell battery when the low battery indicator illuminates. Ensure correct polarity.
- Storage: When not in use, store the GGS-03 stand in its folded position to save space and protect it from damage.
- Inspection: Periodically check the stand for any loose parts or damage. Ensure the adjustable arms are functioning correctly.
6. Troubleshooting
- No Sound from Pickup:
- Check battery level and replace if necessary.
- Ensure all connections (pickup to output jack, output jack to amplifier) are secure.
- Verify amplifier settings and volume levels.
- Feedback Issues:
- Try pressing the 'PHASE' button to reverse the phase.
- Reduce the 'MIC' volume to minimize microphone sensitivity.
- Adjust the 'TONE' controls to cut problematic frequencies.
- Move further away from the amplifier or monitor speakers.
- Unstable Guitar Stand:
- Ensure the stand legs are fully extended and locked into place.
- Verify the adjustable arms are correctly set for your instrument's size.
