3. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your avedio Links HDMI Switcher Splitter:

  1. Identify Connection Mode: Determine whether you need to use the device as a switcher (2 inputs, 1 output) or a splitter (1 input, 2 outputs).
  2. Connect HDMI Cables:
    • Switcher Mode (2 Inputs, 1 Output): Connect your two HDMI source devices (e.g., PS5, Xbox) to the 'INPUT 1' and 'INPUT 2' ports on the switcher. Connect your display device (e.g., TV, monitor) to the 'OUTPUT' port.
    • Splitter Mode (1 Input, 2 Outputs): Connect your single HDMI source device (e.g., laptop) to the 'OUTPUT' port. Connect your two display devices (e.g., TV, projector) to the 'INPUT 1' and 'INPUT 2' ports. Note: Only one display will show the signal at a time in splitter mode.
  3. Power Connection (Optional): The device is designed to draw power from the HDMI source. If your source device does not provide sufficient power, or if you experience signal instability, connect a 5V DC USB power cable (not included) to the DC 5V port on the switcher.
  4. Connect IR Receiver (for Remote Control): Plug the IR receiver cable into the 'IR' port on the switcher. Position the IR receiver in a location where it has a clear line of sight to your remote control.

  • Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Ensure all cable connections are secure to prevent signal loss or interference.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your HDMI Switcher Splitter, refer to the following troubleshooting tips:

Q: Only 1 monitor displays, second monitor is blurry or not displayed.

A: As a splitter, only ONE SCREEN can display at the same time.

Q: Not working/no output?

A: Please check whether the signal indicator is on. If the signal light does not light up, please try to connect more than 2 input source devices and keep them all on.

Q: Black screen, flickering, and signal drop when using our products?

A: Please check whether the HDMI cable you are using supports 8K resolution. We recommend using a standard HDMI 2.1 version of the cable, and the product input and output cable length does not exceed 1.5M.

Q: Cannot display 4K@120Hz or 8K@60Hz?

A: 1. Please check whether your input device, output device, and HDMI cable support 4K @ 120Hz or 8K @ 60Hz.
2. Please try to replace the standard HDMI 2.1 version of the HDMI cable, and the length of the product input and output lines does not exceed 1.5M.

Q: What's the length of the line it supports?

A: 8K resolution within 1.5 meters (4.9 ft). 4K resolution within 3 meters (9.8 ft). 1080P resolution within 5 meters (16.4 ft).

Note: When connecting input and output devices to display, our product has a 3-second delay, which is normal.
