2. Setup
2.1 Unpacking and Inspection
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all items are present and undamaged. Retain the packaging for future transport or storage.
2.2 Connecting the Ampero II Stage
- Power Connection: Connect the provided DC 9V-1A power adapter to the 'POWER IN' jack on the rear panel of the Ampero II Stage. Plug the adapter into a suitable power outlet.
- Instrument Input: Connect your guitar or bass to the 'INPUT' jack (L/MONO) on the rear panel.
- Audio Output: Connect the 'OUTPUT' jacks (L/MONO, R) to your amplifier, mixer, or audio interface. Balanced XLR outputs are also available for direct connection to a PA system or recording equipment.

2.3 Connecting the Ampero II Press
The Ampero II Press is an expression/switch pedal designed to integrate seamlessly with the Ampero II Stage.
- Expression Pedal Connection: Connect the 'EXP' output of the Ampero II Press to the 'EXP/CTRL' input on the Ampero II Stage using a TRS cable.
- Footswitch Connection: Connect the 'FOOTSWITCH' output of the Ampero II Press to the 'EXP/CTRL' input on the Ampero II Stage using a TS cable if you intend to use it as an additional footswitch. Consult the Ampero II Stage manual for configuring external control assignments.

3.1 Ampero II Stage Overview
The Ampero II Stage utilizes a triple-core digital platform and ESS Sabre series high-quality independent AD/DA converters. It incorporates evolving CDCM HD (Comprehensive Dynamic Circuit Modeling High Definition) and F.I.R.E. (Field Impulse Response Enhancement) modeling technology, providing realistic amp and cabinet simulations. It features 24-bit signal processing and up to 127dB dynamic range for high-fidelity audio.

3.2 Key Features and Functions
- "Scene" Feature: Each patch can hold up to five scenes, allowing for smooth transitions between different effect configurations within a single patch.
- Operating Modes: Two versatile modes are available: PATCH and STOMP. Each mode has a dedicated indicator and a footswitch for switching between them.
- Effect Modules: Supports up to 12 simultaneous effect modules. The upgraded effects library includes over 460 effects with Hotone's next-generation algorithms.
