7. Charging Methods
The Trevi RA 7F30 BT offers multiple ways to recharge its internal battery:
7.1 USB Type-C Charging
This is the primary and fastest charging method. Connect the supplied USB Type-C cable to the radio and a USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer, power bank).
7.2 Solar Charging
Place the radio with the solar panel facing direct sunlight. The solar panel (80 mA max) will slowly charge the internal battery. This method is ideal for maintaining charge or for emergency top-ups when other power sources are unavailable.
7.3 Dynamo (Hand Crank) Charging
Extend the hand crank located on the back of the radio. Rotate the crank clockwise or counter-clockwise at a steady pace to generate power and charge the battery. This method is crucial for emergencies when no other power source is available.
8. Power Bank Function
The Trevi RA 7F30 BT can act as a power bank (500 mA output) to charge external mobile devices in emergency situations.
- Connect your mobile device's charging cable to the USB-A output port on the radio.
- The radio will begin charging your device. Note that the charging speed may be slower than a dedicated power bank or wall charger.
9. LED Flashlight
The radio is equipped with a powerful 3-LED flashlight for illumination.
- Press the flashlight button once to turn on the flashlight at its first brightness level.
- Press again for a brighter second level (if applicable).
- Press a third time to turn off the flashlight.
10. Emergency Siren
For emergency situations, the radio features an acoustic and luminous warning siren.
- Slide the 'Siren' switch to activate the emergency siren and flashing light.
- Slide the switch back to deactivate.
11. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the radio. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the radio in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use for extended periods.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Recharge the battery periodically even if the radio is not in use.
