3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the cooktop from its packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage. Retain packaging materials for potential future transport or service.

3.2 Electrical Requirements

The cooktop operates on 220-240V~, 50/60Hz, requiring a 32-40 Amps circuit. It must be hard-wired directly into a suitable electrical supply by a qualified electrician. Do not use an adapter or extension cord.

3.3 Cut-out Dimensions

Ensure your countertop cut-out meets the following dimensions for proper fit and ventilation:

4.1 Control Panel Overview

4.2 Powering On/Off and Child Lock

  1. To Power On: Press the ON/OFF control button. The display will show 'Lo' indicating the child lock is active.
  2. To Unlock: Press and hold the child lock button (often indicated by a key or lock icon) until 'Lo' disappears and the cooktop is ready for use.
  3. To Power Off: Press the ON/OFF control button again.
  4. To Activate Child Lock: When the cooktop is on, press and hold the child lock button. The display will show 'Lo'.

4.3 Adjusting Power Levels

The cooktop offers 9 power levels for precise heat control.

  1. Select the desired heating zone by touching its corresponding control.
  2. Use the slide touch control bar or the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the power level from 1 to 9.

4.4 Boost Function

The Boost function provides maximum power to a selected cooking zone for a short period, ideal for rapidly boiling water or searing.

  1. Select the desired heating zone.
  2. Press the 'B' (Boost) button. The zone will operate at its maximum power (up to 2600W) for approximately 5 minutes, then automatically revert to a lower setting.

4.5 Timer Function

Set a cooking timer for individual zones or as a general reminder.

  1. Select the desired heating zone.
  2. Press the Timer button (clock icon).
  3. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the desired cooking time from 0 to 99 minutes.
  4. The cooktop will automatically shut off the selected zone once the timer expires.

4.6 Cookware Compatibility

Induction cooktops require specific types of cookware. Ensure your pots and pans are made of magnetic materials.
