4. Setup Instructions

4.1. Battery Installation

Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the locomotive or the control base.
Open the battery compartment cover.
Insert three (3) AA size 1.5V batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: Batteries are not included with this product. Always use fresh batteries for optimal performance.

4.2. Track Assembly

Choose a flat, stable surface for your train layout.
Connect the track sections by aligning the connectors and gently pressing them together until they click into place.
Form an oval track layout as shown in Figure 1. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent derailments.

4.3. Train Car Connection

Place the locomotive and all train cars onto the assembled track.
Connect the train cars to each other using the provided coupling mechanisms. Ensure each car is securely linked to the next.
Verify that all wheels are properly seated on the track rails.

5. Operation

5.1. Powering On/Off

Once the batteries are installed and the train is assembled on the track, locate the ON/OFF switch on the control base.
Slide the switch to the "ON" position to activate the train. The train will begin to move, and animated effects will start.
To turn off the train, slide the switch to the "OFF" position.

5.2. Animated Effects and Motion

The Lemax Caddington Regional Railroad features animated effects and motion. Upon activation, the train will move along the track, and any integrated animated elements will operate automatically. There are no additional controls for these effects; they are part of the train's standard operation.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning

Ensure the train is turned off and batteries are removed before cleaning.
Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or excessive moisture, as this may damage the finish or electronic components.

6.2. Battery Replacement
