1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your Philips 300W/296Wh Portable Power Station, model DLP8091C. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product and retain it for future reference.

2. Safety Information

Your Philips Portable Power Station is designed with safety in mind, incorporating a Battery Management System (BMS) and PSE certification. Adhere to the following safety guidelines:

  • Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity.
  • Ensure proper ventilation during use and charging. The internal cooling fan activates automatically if the ambient temperature exceeds 40°C or total output exceeds 120W.
  • Avoid dropping, puncturing, or disassembling the unit.
  • Keep away from children and pets.
  • Use only approved charging accessories.
  • In case of malfunction or damage, do not attempt repairs. Contact customer support.
  • The integrated BMS protects against overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, over-voltage, over-temperature, and short circuits.

5. Setup

Before first use, fully charge the power station. This ensures optimal battery performance and extends its lifespan.

5.1. Initial Charging

  1. Connect the provided AC adapter to the DC Input Port on the power station.
  2. Plug the AC adapter into a wall outlet.
  3. The LCD display will show the charging status. Charge until the battery indicator shows 100%.

For faster charging, you can simultaneously connect a PD 60W USB-C charger (not included) to the USB-C Input/Output Port along with the AC adapter. This can reduce charging time to approximately 3 hours.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Powering On/Off

  • To power on the unit, press and hold the main power button (usually located near the LCD display) for a few seconds.
  • To power off, press and hold the main power button again.

6.2. Using AC Output

  1. Press the "AC Button" to activate the AC output ports. The AC icon will appear on the LCD display.
  2. Plug your AC-powered devices into the AC Output Ports.
  3. Ensure the total power consumption of your devices does not exceed 300W (600W instantaneous peak).
  4. After use, press the "AC Button" again to turn off AC output and conserve battery.

6.3. Using DC Output (12V)

  1. Press the "DC Button" to activate the DC output ports. The DC icon will appear on the LCD display.
  2. Connect your 12V DC devices to the DC1 or DC2 Output Ports, or the Car Charger Port.
  3. After use, press the "DC Button" again to turn off DC output.

6.4. Using USB Output

  • The USB-A and USB-C ports are typically active when the unit is powered on.
  • Connect your USB-powered devices to the USB-A1, USB-A2, USB-A3, or USB-C Input/Output Port.
  • The USB-C port supports Power Delivery (PD) up to 60W for fast charging compatible devices.

6.5. LED Light Function

  • Press the "LED Light Button" once to turn on the LED light (low brightness).
  • Press again for high brightness.
  • Press a third time for SOS mode (flashing).
  • Press a fourth time to turn off the LED light.

6.6. LCD Display Information

The multi-functional LCD display provides critical information at a glance:

  • Battery Remaining: Percentage of charge left.
  • Charging Remaining Time / Estimated Usage Time: Indicates how long until fully charged or depleted.
  • Cooling Fan Operation: Icon indicates when the internal fan is active.
  • Overload Warning: Alerts if connected devices exceed the power station's capacity.
  • High Temperature Warning: Indicates if the unit is overheating.
  • Total Output Power: Displays the current power draw in Watts.
  • AC Output Indicator: Shows when AC output is active.
  • Type-C Input/Output Indicator: Shows when USB-C is in use.
  • USB Output Indicator: Shows when USB-A ports are in use.
  • DC Output Indicator: Shows when DC output is active.

7. Charging Methods

The Philips DLP8091C offers five flexible ways to recharge:

  • AC Adapter: Approximately 6 hours for a full charge.
  • PD 60W USB-C: Approximately 6 hours for a full charge.
  • AC Adapter + PD 60W USB-C (Fast Charge): Approximately 3 hours for a full charge.
  • Car Cigarette Socket: Approximately 9-10 hours for a full charge.
  • Solar Panel (Sold Separately): Charging time varies based on sunlight intensity and panel wattage.

For environmental reasons, charging via solar panel (renewable energy) is recommended whenever possible.

8. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your power station.

  • Cleaning: Use a dry, soft cloth to clean the exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse in water.
  • Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. For long-term storage, charge the unit to 50-80% every 3-6 months to preserve battery health.
  • Battery Care: Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Recharge promptly after use.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the ventilation openings are clear of dust and debris.

9. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
