4. Setup
First Use and Cleaning
- Remove all packaging materials and labels from the coffee maker.
- Wash the ceramic mug, reusable filter, and filter basket in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
- Before brewing coffee, run two cycles with only water to clean the internal components. Fill the water reservoir to the MAX line, place the mug, and press the power switch. Discard the water after each cycle.
Placement
Place the coffee maker on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the counter. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit.
5. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to brew a fresh cup of coffee:
- Fill Water Reservoir: Open the lid of the water reservoir and fill it with fresh, cold water. Do not exceed the maximum fill line.
- Add Coffee Grounds: Place the reusable filter into the filter basket. Add your desired amount of ground coffee into the reusable filter. We recommend 1-2 tablespoons for a standard cup. Close the lid securely.
- Position Mug: Place the included ceramic mug on the drip tray directly beneath the coffee dispenser.
- Start Brewing: Plug the coffee maker into a suitable electrical outlet. Press the luminous power switch to begin the brewing cycle. The indicator light will illuminate.
- Enjoy: The coffee maker will brew your coffee in approximately 2 minutes. Once brewing is complete, the indicator light will turn off. Carefully remove your mug and enjoy your fresh coffee.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

Daily Cleaning
- Unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool completely.
- Remove the ceramic mug, reusable filter, and filter basket.
- Discard used coffee grounds from the reusable filter. Rinse the filter and filter basket under running water. They are also dishwasher safe (top rack only).
- Wash the ceramic mug with warm, soapy water.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
Descaling (Monthly or as needed)
Mineral deposits from water can affect performance. Descale your coffee maker regularly:
- Fill the water reservoir with a mixture of 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water.
- Place the mug on the drip tray.
- Run a brewing cycle with the vinegar solution.
- After the cycle, let the coffee maker sit for 15 minutes.
- Run two full cycles with fresh, clean water to rinse out any remaining vinegar taste.
