2. Setup
2.1 Unpacking and Inspection
- Carefully remove the machine and all accessories from the packaging.
- Inspect the machine for any signs of damage during transit. If damage is found, contact your retailer immediately.
- Retain the original packaging for future transport or service needs.
2.2 Placement

2.3 Initial Fill and Priming
- Ensure the machine is unplugged.
- Remove the water tank and fill it with fresh, filtered water. Do not use distilled water.
- Place the water tank back into its position securely.
- Plug the machine into a grounded electrical outlet (120 Volts).
- Turn on the main power switch. The pump will activate to fill the boiler. This process may take a few minutes.
- Once the boiler is full, the pump will stop, and the heating element will begin to heat the water. The machine is ready when the pressure gauge indicates optimal pressure (typically around 1.0-1.2 bar).
3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Brewing Espresso
- Ensure the machine is heated to operating temperature.
- Grind fresh coffee beans to an espresso-fine consistency.
- Dose the appropriate amount of ground coffee into the portafilter basket (included components: portafilter, baskets).
- Tamp the coffee evenly with firm pressure.
- Insert the portafilter into the group head and lock it into place.
- Place your espresso cup(s) under the portafilter spouts.

3.2 Steaming Milk
- Purge the steam wand by briefly opening the steam valve to release any condensed water.
- Immerse the tip of the steam wand just below the surface of cold milk in a stainless steel pitcher.
- Open the steam valve fully.
- Lower the pitcher slightly to introduce air for texturing, then raise it to create a vortex for heating.
- Close the steam valve when the milk reaches the desired temperature and consistency.
- Immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth and purge it again to clear any milk residue.
3.3 Hot Water Dispensing
The hot water wand can be used to dispense hot water for americanos, tea, or pre-heating cups.
- Place a cup under the hot water wand.
- Open the hot water valve to dispense water.
- Close the valve when the desired amount of water is dispensed.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Daily Cleaning
- Group Head: After each use, run a short flush of water through the group head to rinse away coffee grounds. Use a group head brush to clean the screen and gasket.
- Portafilter: Remove spent coffee grounds and rinse the portafilter and basket thoroughly.
- Drip Tray: Empty and rinse the drip tray daily.
- Water Tank: Rinse the water tank daily and refill with fresh water.
- Exterior: Wipe down the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
4.2 Backflushing (Weekly)
Backflushing cleans the group head and internal components. Use a blind filter basket.
- Insert the blind filter basket into the portafilter.
- Add a small amount of espresso machine cleaner (e.g., Cafiza) to the blind filter.
- Lock the portafilter into the group head.
- Lift the brew lever for 10 seconds, then lower it. Repeat 5-10 times.
- Remove the portafilter, rinse it, and repeat the backflushing process with plain water to rinse away cleaner residue.
4.3 Descaling (Every 2-3 Months, or as needed)
Descaling removes mineral buildup from the boiler and internal water paths. Use a descaling solution specifically designed for espresso machines.
- Turn off and unplug the machine. Allow it to cool completely.
- Empty the water tank.
- Prepare the descaling solution according to the manufacturer's instructions and pour it into the water tank.
- Place a large container under the group head and steam/hot water wands.
- Turn on the machine. Once heated, run approximately 1/3 of the solution through the group head, 1/3 through the steam wand, and 1/3 through the hot water wand.
- Turn off the machine and let it sit for 20-30 minutes.
- Repeat the dispensing process until the tank is empty.
- Rinse the water tank thoroughly and fill it with fresh water. Repeat the dispensing process with fresh water to rinse the machine completely.
5. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No water flow from group head. | Water tank empty; pump not primed; clogged group head. | Refill water tank; prime pump (refer to setup); backflush group head. |
| Weak steam pressure. | Steam wand clogged; low boiler pressure. | Clean steam wand tip; allow machine to fully heat. |
| Espresso extracts too fast/slow. | Grind size incorrect; tamping pressure inconsistent. | Adjust grind finer/coarser; ensure consistent tamping. |
| Machine not heating. | Power issue; heating element fault. | Check power connection; contact customer support if problem persists. |
| Water leaking from machine. | Loose connection; damaged seal; overfilled drip tray. | Check connections; inspect seals; empty drip tray. If persistent, contact support. |
