The UPOSBOS Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto Adapter is a compact and efficient device designed to provide wireless connectivity for your in-car infotainment system. It features a standard USB-A connector for easy plug-and-play installation and a small LED indicator for operational status. The adapter utilizes advanced 5.8Ghz WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0 technologies to ensure fast, stable, and reliable connections for a superior user experience.

5. Compatibility Requirements

Before proceeding with the setup, it is crucial to ensure that your vehicle and smartphone meet the following compatibility requirements:

• Vehicle Compatibility: Your vehicle must be produced after 2016 and be equipped with an original factory-installed wired CarPlay or Android Auto system.
• Smartphone Compatibility (CarPlay): For CarPlay functionality, your iPhone must be running iOS 10 or a higher version.
• Smartphone Compatibility (Android Auto): For Android Auto functionality, your Android phone must be running Android Auto 11.0 or a higher version.
• Important Note: This adapter does NOT support BMW, Tesla, or 2018 & 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander models.

6. Setup and Installation

Follow these simple steps to set up your UPOSBOS Wireless Adapter and begin enjoying wireless CarPlay or Android Auto:

1. Step 1: Plug in the Adapter.

   Locate the USB port in your vehicle that supports wired CarPlay or Android Auto. Plug the UPOSBOS wireless adapter firmly into this USB port. The adapter will power on, and its indicator light may illuminate to show it is active.

2. Step 2: Pair with Your Phone.

   On your smartphone, ensure both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi functions are enabled. Open your phone's Bluetooth settings and search for available devices. Select the device named "Smart Dongle-XXXX" (where XXXX is a unique identifier). Accept any authorization requests that appear on your phone to complete the pairing process.

3. Step 3: Confirm on Car Screen.

   Once successfully paired, your car's infotainment screen will automatically display the CarPlay or Android Auto interface. Click "Continue" or confirm any prompts on your car screen if necessary to proceed.

   After the initial setup, the adapter will quickly and automatically recognize and connect to your phone within 5-15 seconds each time you start your vehicle, providing a seamless experience.

Important Note: To ensure optimal connection stability, it is recommended to remove any excessive or unused Bluetooth devices from your phone's paired list before using the adapter.

7. Operating the Adapter

Once connected, the UPOSBOS Wireless Adapter allows you to utilize your car's original control functions wirelessly for CarPlay or Android Auto:

• Voice Assistant Control: Activate and use Siri (for CarPlay) or Google Assistant (for Android Auto) via your car's dedicated voice command button or by saying the appropriate wake word.
• Touch Control: Interact directly with the CarPlay or Android Auto interface on your car's touchscreen display.
• OEM Knob Control: Navigate the interface using your vehicle's factory-installed control knobs and buttons, maintaining familiar ergonomics.
• Steering Wheel Control: Control media playback, answer or end calls, and activate voice assistants conveniently using your steering wheel buttons.

3. Enter the IP address 192.168.1.101 into the browser's address bar and press Enter.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions provided on the web page to check for and install any available firmware updates.

Note: A stable internet connection is required on your smartphone for the upgrade process. Do not disconnect the adapter or your phone during the firmware update to prevent interruption or damage.
