5. Setup
5.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the laser level.
- Open the compartment cover.
- Insert the two AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
5.2 Tripod Assembly and Laser Level Mounting
- Unfold the tripod legs and extend them to the desired height. Secure the leg adjustments using the adjustment buckles.
- Attach the quick-release plate to the 1/4"-20 threaded hole at the bottom of the laser level.
- Mount the laser level (with the quick-release plate attached) onto the tripod head. Ensure it is securely fastened.
- Use the rotary rocker and neck extension locking mechanism on the tripod to adjust the laser level's height and angle as needed.
- Utilize the integrated bubble view level on the tripod head for initial coarse leveling.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Self-Leveling Mode
- Slide the Pendulum Lock / Unlock Switch to the "unlocked" side.
- The laser level will automatically self-level if it is within ±4° of horizontal.
- If the surface tilt exceeds 4 degrees, the laser lines will blink, and the Out of Level LED Indicator on the top will turn red, indicating that the device is out of its self-leveling range. Adjust the tripod or surface until the device self-levels.
6.2 Manual Mode
- Slide the Pendulum Lock / Unlock Switch to the "locked" side.
- Press and hold the Power / Mode Button for approximately 3 seconds to turn on the laser.
- In manual mode, the self-leveling feature is disabled, allowing you to project laser lines at any desired angle. The laser lines will remain locked in position.

6.3 Switching Laser Line Modes
After powering on the device (in either self-leveling or manual mode), short press the Power / Mode Button to cycle through the available projection modes:
- Horizontal Line: Projects a single horizontal laser line.
- Vertical Line: Projects a single vertical laser line.
- Cross Line: Projects both horizontal and vertical lines simultaneously, intersecting at a 90° angle.

7. Maintenance
