Maintenance
1. Cleaning Contact Points
Prolonged use or non-use may cause oxidation of the device's contact points, potentially leading to disconnection or unresponsive buttons. To maintain optimal performance:
- If the guitar buttons do not work, use a pencil eraser or a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol to clean the surface of the electrical contacts or pins on both the guitar body and neck.
- After cleaning, ensure the contacts are dry before reassembling.

2. Storage
For compact storage and to protect the electrical contacts:
- Detach the guitar neck from the body.
- Insert the bonus sponge protector into the electrical contact slot on the main body after use. This helps prevent oxidation and extends the lifespan of the controller.
Troubleshooting
- Problem: Guitar buttons are unresponsive or intermittently stop working.
- Solution: This is often caused by oxidation on the electrical contacts. Refer to the "Cleaning Contact Points" section under Maintenance to clean the pins and contacts with a pencil eraser or rubbing alcohol.
- Problem: Whammy bar does not function correctly.
- Solution: Ensure you do not touch or press the whammy bar when inserting the Wii Remote into the guitar. If issues persist, remove the Wii Remote, ensure the whammy bar is in its neutral position, and re-insert the Wii Remote.
- Problem: Guitar controller disconnects or bugs out during gameplay.
- Solution: Remove the Wii Remote from the guitar controller and then re-insert it firmly. Ensure all connections are secure. If the problem persists, try cleaning the contact points as described in the Maintenance section.
- Problem: Guitar does not sync with the Wii console.
- Solution: Ensure the Wii Remote is properly inserted and connected within the guitar controller. Follow the standard Wii Remote syncing procedure with your console. If the issue continues, try a different Wii Remote if available, or clean the contacts.
