Connecting the Keyboard
- Locate the USB-C port on the back or side of the Machenike K500A keyboard.

Hot-Swappable Switches
This keyboard is equipped with hot-swappable sockets, allowing users to change mechanical switches without soldering. The pre-installed switches are tactile brown switches, offering a balanced typing experience with a noticeable bump.

Maintenance
General Cleaning
- Disconnect the keyboard from your computer before cleaning.
- Use a can of compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps.
- Wipe the keycaps and keyboard surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid excessive moisture.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
Keycap and Switch Removal (for Hot-Swappable Models)
- Use a keycap puller to gently remove keycaps. Pull straight up to avoid damaging the switch stem.
- Use a switch puller to remove switches. Insert the puller's prongs into the clips on the top and bottom of the switch, squeeze, and gently pull the switch straight up. Apply even pressure to avoid bending pins.
- When inserting new switches, align the pins carefully with the sockets and press down firmly until the switch clicks into place. Do not force switches if they do not align.
