Setup Guide
1. Battery Installation and Charging
Before initial use, ensure the XL battery is fully charged. The R1 radio features a USB charging port at the bottom for convenient charging.
- Attach the XL battery to the back of the R1 radio, ensuring it clicks securely into place.
- Connect the included USB charging cable to the USB port at the bottom of the radio.
- Plug the other end of the USB cable into the AC power block or any compatible USB power source (e.g., vehicle USB port, computer).

2. Antenna Attachment

Attach the belt clip to the back of the radio for easy carrying. Slide the clip into the designated slot until it locks.

Operating Instructions

Rugged Radios guarantees its Radios, Intercoms & Headsets to be free from manufacturing defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase. In the event that a defect covered by the warranty occurs during the applicable period, Rugged Radios, at its discretion, will either repair or replace the product. This action shall be the full extent of Rugged Radios' liability and the Customer’s sole and exclusive reparation.
