Setup

1. Battery Installation

The BFT MITTO COOL C4 transmitter requires one LR44 battery, which is included. To install or replace the battery:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the transmitter (refer to Figure 2).
  2. Carefully open the compartment cover.
  3. Insert the LR44 battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Programming/Cloning the Transmitter

The BFT MITTO COOL C4 can clone existing BFT remote controls already programmed on your system. This process does not require you to be at the gate system during cloning. Only the 4-button version has a repeat (cloning) function. Only Original BFT remote controls can be cloned.

Important: Access to the receiver/opener is required for initial setup or if cloning from a non-original remote. Please ensure you have access to your receiver/opener before purchase or attempting to program.

Compatible models for cloning include: BFT MITTO COOL C2, MITTO COOL C4, STYLE C4, MITTO2, MITTO4, MITTO2A, MITTO4A, MITTTO B RCB 02/04, KLEIO B RCA 02/04, TRC1, TRC2, TRC3. An old Original BFT remote control BFT MITTTO B RCB 02/04 can also be cloned.

Refer to your gate system's receiver manual for specific programming steps, as procedures may vary. Generally, cloning involves placing the new transmitter in close proximity to the existing, programmed transmitter and following a sequence of button presses.

Operating Instructions

The BFT MITTO COOL C4 is a 4-channel transmitter, meaning it can control up to four different functions or devices (e.g., opening/closing a gate, pedestrian access, lighting). Each button corresponds to a specific channel.

  • Button Functions: Press the desired button to activate the corresponding function. The specific function of each button is determined during the programming process with your receiver.
  • Range: The transmitter offers a significant operating range, typically up to 50 meters, depending on environmental conditions and receiver sensitivity.
  • Weather-Resistant: The transmitter is designed to be weather-resistant, allowing for reliable operation in various outdoor conditions.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

When the transmitter's range decreases or the indicator light (if present) becomes dim or unresponsive, it may be time to replace the LR44 battery. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the 'Setup' section.

Cleaning and Storage

  • Clean the transmitter with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Store the transmitter in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use for extended periods.
  • Avoid dropping the transmitter or subjecting it to strong impacts.
