Components:

Setup and First Use

Before First Use:

  1. Unpack the coffee maker and remove all packaging materials.
  2. Wash the glass carafe, reusable filter, and removable filter basket in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. These parts are also dishwasher-safe.
  3. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
  4. Place the coffee maker on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the counter.
  5. For the first use, it is recommended to run a full cycle with only water to clean the internal components. Fill the water reservoir to the MAX line, place the empty filter basket and carafe in position, and turn on the appliance. Discard the water after the cycle.

Operating Instructions

Brewing Coffee:

  1. Open the lid of the coffee maker.
  2. Fill the glass carafe with the desired amount of fresh, cold water. Refer to the water level window on the side of the coffee maker for guidance (up to 10 cups).
  3. Pour the water from the carafe into the water reservoir.
  4. Place the reusable filter into the removable filter basket.
  5. Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the reusable filter. A general guideline is one tablespoon of ground coffee per cup, but adjust to your taste.
  6. Insert the filter basket with the coffee into its designated slot and close the lid securely.
  7. Place the empty glass carafe onto the heating plate. Ensure it is properly seated to activate the drip-stop mechanism.
  8. Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
  9. Press the On/Off switch. The indicator light will illuminate, indicating that the brewing process has started.
  10. Once brewing is complete, the coffee maker will automatically switch to the keep-warm function. The indicator light will remain on.
  11. The coffee maker will automatically shut off after approximately 40 minutes to conserve energy and for safety.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning helps maintain the performance and longevity of your coffee maker.

Daily Cleaning:

  1. Always unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Remove the glass carafe, reusable filter, and filter basket. Discard used coffee grounds.
  3. Wash the carafe, reusable filter, and filter basket in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly. These parts are dishwasher-safe (top rack recommended).
  4. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker and the heating plate with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  5. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.

Descaling (Mineral Deposit Removal):

Mineral deposits (calcium) can build up in your coffee maker over time, affecting its performance. Descale your coffee maker every 2-3 months, or more frequently if you have hard water.

  1. Fill the water reservoir with a mixture of white vinegar and cold water (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water). Do not exceed the MAX fill line.
  2. Place the empty filter basket (without coffee or filter) and the empty carafe in position.
  3. Turn on the coffee maker and let it complete half of a brewing cycle.
  4. Turn off the coffee maker and let it soak for at least 15 minutes to allow the vinegar solution to work on the deposits.
  5. Turn the coffee maker back on and let it complete the remaining brewing cycle.
  6. Discard the vinegar solution from the carafe.
  7. Run 2-3 full cycles with fresh, cold water only to rinse out any remaining vinegar smell or taste.
