5.1 Components Overview

Image 5.1: Exploded view of the security light, highlighting the 100W LED beads and high-precision light transmission design.
5.2 Mounting the Fixture
- Prepare the Mounting Surface: Choose a suitable location, ideally between 10 ft and 16.4 ft (3m - 5m) from the ground, ensuring the motion sensor has an unobstructed view of the desired detection area.
- Attach Mounting Bracket: Secure the provided mounting bracket to the junction box using the included screws.
- Wiring Connections: Connect the household wiring to the fixture's wires. Typically, this involves:
- Black (Live) to Black (Live)
- White (Neutral) to White (Neutral)
- Green/Bare Copper (Ground) to Green (Ground)
- Secure the Fixture: Carefully align the fixture with the mounting bracket and secure it in place. Ensure no wires are pinched.

5.3 Adjusting Light Heads and Sensor
The three light heads can be adjusted independently to cover a wide area. The motion sensor can also be angled for optimal detection.

Image 5.4: The adjustable design allows for precise aiming of the light heads and motion sensor to cover a 270-degree detection zone.
6. Operating Instructions
Once installed and power is restored, the light will enter a warm-up period (approximately 30-60 seconds) during which it may turn on and off. After this, it will operate according to the sensor settings.
6.1 Motion Sensor Settings
The motion sensor has three adjustable dials:

Image 6.1: The motion sensor features three adjustable dials for customizing detection parameters.
- DISTANCE (SENS): Adjusts the motion detection sensitivity and range from 16.4 ft to 72 ft. Turn clockwise for higher sensitivity/longer range, counter-clockwise for lower sensitivity/shorter range.
- TIME: Sets how long the light remains on after motion is detected, ranging from 10 seconds to 7 minutes. Turn clockwise for longer illumination, counter-clockwise for shorter.
- LUX (Day/Night Mode): Determines the ambient light level at which the sensor becomes active.
- Day Mode (Sun icon): Motion detection works during both day and night.
- Night Mode (Moon icon): Motion detection works only at night or in low-light conditions.
6.2 Optimal Performance

Image 6.2: The motion sensor provides versatile detection for areas like driveways, with a wide sensing angle.

Image 6.3: The light provides super bright and ultra-wide illumination, covering a significant area.
7. Maintenance
The Onforu security light is designed for minimal maintenance. Regular cleaning can help maintain optimal performance.
7.1 Cleaning
- Ensure the power is OFF before cleaning.
- Wipe the fixture with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish or lens.
- Keep the motion sensor lens clean and free from obstructions (e.g., dirt, spiderwebs) to ensure proper operation.
7.2 Weather Resistance

Image 7.1: The IP65 waterproof rating ensures the light functions reliably in rain, sleet, snow, and sun.
8. Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your security light, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on. | No power supply. LUX setting is too low (Night Mode during daytime). Motion sensor obstructed or faulty. | Check circuit breaker and wiring connections. Adjust LUX dial to Day Mode (Sun icon) for testing. Clear any obstructions from the sensor. Ensure sensor is aimed correctly. |
| Light stays on continuously. | Continuous motion in detection area. TIME setting is too long. Sensor malfunction. | Ensure no constant movement (e.g., tree branches, pets) is triggering the sensor. Adjust TIME dial to a shorter duration. If problem persists, contact customer support. |
| Light turns on too frequently or not enough. | DISTANCE (SENS) setting is too high/low. Sensor placement or angle is not optimal. Environmental factors (e.g., heat sources, reflective surfaces). | Adjust DISTANCE dial to desired sensitivity. Reposition or re-angle the sensor to cover the intended area and avoid unwanted triggers. Ensure the sensor is not pointed at direct heat sources or highly reflective surfaces. |
| Light output is dim or inconsistent. | Power fluctuation. Damaged LED beads. | Ensure stable power supply. If individual LED beads are visibly not working, the unit may require replacement. |
| Fixture feels wobbly after installation. | Loose mounting. Main connection to base plate not fully secured. | Ensure all mounting screws are tightened. Verify the main light assembly is firmly attached to the base plate. |
