5. Maintenance

  • Keep the docking station in a dry environment and away from extreme temperatures.
  • Avoid dropping or subjecting the device to strong impacts.
  • Clean the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners.
  • Ensure proper ventilation to prevent overheating during prolonged use.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Display Output:
    • Ensure your host device's USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode).
    • Check all cable connections (USB-C to hub, HDMI/VGA to monitor).
    • Verify monitor input settings are correct.
    • Try connecting one monitor at a time to isolate the issue.
    • Update graphics drivers on your laptop.
  • Unstable HDMI Connection / Flickering:
    • Ensure the docking station is powered by an external power adapter connected to the USB-C PD port. Insufficient power can lead to unstable video output.
    • Use high-quality HDMI cables.
    • Reduce the resolution or refresh rate of the external display to see if stability improves.
  • Laptop Not Charging / Low Wattage:
    • Confirm your power adapter is connected to the USB-C PD port on the docking station.
    • Ensure your power adapter provides sufficient wattage (e.g., 100W) to both the laptop and the hub (hub consumes 5W).
    • Some laptops may display a warning if the power delivery is lower than their original charger, even if it's sufficient for charging.
  • USB Devices Not Recognized:
    • Reconnect the USB device.
    • Try a different USB port on the docking station.
    • Ensure the docking station is receiving adequate power.
    • For 2.4GHz wireless devices (mouse/keyboard), connect them to USB 2.0 ports to avoid potential interference with USB 3.0.
  • Slow Internet Speed:
    • Check your Ethernet cable for damage.
    • Verify your network settings on your host device.
    • Ensure your router and internet service provider support Gigabit speeds.
