4. Setup

4.1 Connecting the Keyboard

  1. Locate the USB cable provided in the package.
  2. Connect the USB-C end of the cable to the port on the Machenike K500B-B87 keyboard.
  3. Connect the USB-A end of the cable to an available USB port on your computer (PC).
  4. The keyboard should be automatically recognized by your operating system. Drivers will typically install automatically.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 RGB Backlighting Control

The Machenike K500B-B87 keyboard features 11 different adjustable RGB lighting modes. Use the following key combinations to control the backlighting:

  2. Use a switch puller (not included) to carefully grip the switch and pull it straight up from the PCB.
  3. Align the pins of the new 3-pin switch with the holes on the PCB.
  4. Press the new switch firmly into place until it clicks. Ensure the switch is seated correctly and not bent.
  5. Re-attach the keycap.

Note: Ensure the keyboard is disconnected or powered off before hot-swapping switches to prevent damage.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Keyboard
