Important Safeguards

• NOTE: Your Waffle Maker may emit a small amount of smoke and/or odor when you use it for the first time. This is normal and harmless; however, we recommend that you do not eat the first waffle you make with the Waffle Maker.

Setup

Before first use, wipe the cooking plates with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Ensure the appliance is placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface. The waffle maker is designed for compact, upright storage. To prepare for use, unlock the handle from the upright storage position and lay the unit flat.

The waffle maker can be flipped from its compact upright storage position to its flat operating position.

Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. The indicator light on the front of the unit will illuminate orange, indicating that the waffle maker is preheating. Wait for the light to turn white, signaling that the appliance has reached the optimal cooking temperature.

Operating Instructions

1. Once the indicator light turns white, the waffle maker is ready for use.
2. Pour your waffle batter onto the center of the bottom cooking plate. Do not overfill, as the batter will expand during cooking.
3. Close the lid. The cool-touch handle provides a secure grip.
4. Immediately after closing the lid, use the handle to flip the waffle maker 180 degrees. This innovative hinge design ensures even distribution of batter and consistent cooking on both sides.
5. Allow the waffle to cook. The indicator light will turn orange during cooking and then turn white again when the waffle is done. Cooking time is approximately 2 minutes for a fluffy waffle.
6. Carefully open the lid and remove the cooked waffle using a heat-resistant, non-abrasive utensil. The EverGood™ Ceramic Nonstick Coating ensures easy release without the need for cooking sprays.
7. Close the lid to prepare for the next waffle. The indicator light will turn orange again as it reheats.

The 1000-watt heating system ensures fast cooking, and the nonstick plates allow for quick cleaning.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity of your waffle maker. Always unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

• Cleaning Plates: The EverGood™ Ceramic Nonstick Coating allows for easy cleanup. Simply wipe the cooking plates with a damp cloth or sponge. For stubborn residue, a small amount of mild dish soap can be used, followed by wiping with a clean, damp cloth.
• Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the waffle maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may damage the finish.
• Do Not Submerge: Never immerse the waffle maker in water or any other liquid.
• Stuck Food: If any food becomes stuck to the plates, apply a small amount of cooking oil to the residue and let it sit for 5-7 minutes. This will soften the food, allowing it to be wiped away easily.
• Storage: Once clean and completely cool, the waffle maker can be flipped back to its upright position for compact storage. Use the integrated cord wrap for tidy storage.
