• Operation: Do not insert fingers or objects into the air inlet/outlet. Do not operate the AC with wet hands.

3. Setup and Installation

Professional installation is highly recommended for optimal performance and safety. Refer to the installation charges and inclusions/exclusions below. Ensure the installation site meets the necessary requirements for power, drainage, and space.

3.1 Installation Charges and Inclusions/Exclusions

Inclusion:

• Mounting and installing of ODU & IDU (with accessories, if required).
• Drilling on the brick wall (up to 10") for the copper tube, drain pipe, and the interconnection of electrical wires with communication cables.
• Cleaning the site.
• Product demonstration covering features, safety protocols, and troubleshooting steps.

Exclusion:

• Additional copper pipe, electric / communication cables and drain pipe beyond the standard.
• Civil / core-cutting / carpentry / metal work on concrete / stone wall >10" thickness.
• Stabiliser & ODU stand supplied by customer will be charged for installation.
• Dismantling old AC.
• Scaffolding arrangement.
• MCB arrangement of 15/16 amps for 1 TR, 1.5 TR & 20 amps for 2 TR.
• Society / association permissions.
• Installation of external protective covers.

Your Blue Star AC offers various modes and smart features for personalized comfort. Use the remote control or the Blue Star Smart App to manage settings.

4.1 Remote Control Functions

The remote control allows you to adjust temperature, fan speed, mode, and access special features. Point the remote directly at the indoor unit's receiver.

• Power Button: Turns the AC On/Off.
• Temperature Adjustment: Use '+' and '-' buttons to set desired temperature.
• Mode Button: Cycles through cooling, fan, dry, and auto modes.
• Fan Speed: Adjusts the fan speed (Auto, Low, Medium, High).
• Swing Button: Controls the horizontal and vertical louvers for air direction.
• 6-in-1 Convertible Cooling: Press the '6-in-1 CONV' button to cycle through different capacity modes (e.g., 100%, 80%, 60%, 40%, 110%, 115%).
• iFeel: Activates the sensor in the remote to measure ambient temperature around you for precise cooling.

• AI Pro: This feature senses both outdoor ambient temperature and indoor room conditions. It then intelligently optimizes cooling and fan speed for consistent comfort.
• iFeel: The remote control contains a temperature sensor. When activated, the AC adjusts its operation based on the temperature detected at the remote's location, providing localized comfort.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures efficient operation and extends the lifespan of your AC. Always disconnect power before performing any maintenance.

5.1 Filter Cleaning

Your AC is equipped with a PM2.5 Filter with Activated Carbon and a high-density dust filter. These filters capture dust and remove odors.

• Frequency: Clean filters every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.
• Procedure: Open the indoor unit's front panel. Remove the filters. Gently clean them with a vacuum cleaner or wash with lukewarm water and mild detergent. Allow them to dry completely before reinserting.

5.2 Coil Maintenance (Nano BluProtect Technology)

The indoor and outdoor unit coils feature Nano BluProtect Technology, a special coating that protects against corrosion and leakage from dirt, salty air, and industrial pollution.

• While this technology enhances durability, periodic professional cleaning of the coils is still recommended to maintain optimal heat exchange efficiency.

5.3 Outdoor Unit Cleaning

• Keep the area around the outdoor unit clear of obstructions.
• Periodically clean the outdoor unit's coils and fan blades to remove dust, leaves, and debris. This should ideally be done by a qualified technician.

6. Troubleshooting

Before contacting customer service, refer to the following common issues and solutions. Your AC also features a Self Diagnosis function to help identify problems.

6.1 Common Issues and Solutions

• AC does not turn on:
  Check if the power cord is securely plugged in. Check the circuit breaker or fuse. Ensure the remote control batteries are not depleted.
• Insufficient Cooling:
  Verify the temperature setting is appropriate. Clean the air filters. Ensure no obstructions are blocking the indoor or outdoor units. Check if doors and windows are closed.
• Unusual Noises:
  Minor noises during operation are normal. If loud or unusual noises occur, check for loose parts or contact service.
• Water Leakage (Indoor Unit):
  Check if the drain hose is clogged or improperly installed. Ensure the indoor unit is level.
• Remote Control Not Working:
  Replace batteries. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the indoor unit.

6.2 Self Diagnosis

The AC is equipped with a Self Diagnosis feature. If an error occurs, an error code may be displayed on the indoor unit or the remote control. Refer to the specific error code table in the full user manual (available on the Blue Star website) for detailed explanations and troubleshooting steps.

Terms & Conditions Apply (*): Warranty covers repairs, rectification, or replacement of components like Electronic PCB, IDU Evaporating Coil & ODU Condenser Coil. Excludes air filters, plastic and metal parts, remote handset & gas charging. Gas charging associated with Compressor/Evaporator/Condenser coil to be paid by customer. This applies to residential usage only.
