3. Setup & Installation
Proper setup ensures optimal performance and longevity of your dehumidifier.
3.1 Unpacking and Placement
- Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging.
- Place the unit in the desired location, ensuring it is on a stable, level surface.
- Allow at least 12 inches of space around the unit for proper airflow.
- The dehumidifier is designed for areas between 800 to 2000 sq. ft.
3.2 Installing Support Brackets
The support brackets provide stability and can be used for various installation configurations.
- Locate the support brackets and screws provided.
- Align the brackets with the designated screw holes on the side of the unit.
- Securely fasten the brackets using a screwdriver.

3.3 Connecting the Drain Pipe
The unit comes with a built-in water pump for continuous drainage. Connect the provided drain pipe to the designated outlet.
- Locate the drain pipe connection port on the unit.
- Securely attach one end of the drain pipe to this port.
- Direct the other end of the drain pipe to a suitable drainage location (e.g., floor drain, sink, or outdoors). Ensure the pipe is not kinked or obstructed.
4. Operating Instructions
The dehumidifier features an intuitive control panel for easy operation.
4.1 Detachable Display Panel
The control panel can be detached from the main unit and placed remotely for convenience.
- To detach, unscrew the retaining screws on the main unit holding the display panel.
- Carefully pull out the display panel.
- Connect the extension cable (if needed) to the display panel and the main unit's display board port.
- Place the detached panel in a convenient location within 32.8 ft. of the unit.

4.2 Setting Humidity Level and Timer
- Power On/Off: Press the POWER button to turn the unit on or off.
- Humidity Setting: Use the UP and DOWN buttons to set your desired humidity level (10-98%). The unit will operate until this level is reached.
- Timer Setting: Press the TIMER button to set the operating duration (1-24 hours).
4.3 Operating Modes
- Continuous Mode: The compressor and blower operate continuously for consistent humidity removal.
- Night Mode: When no user interaction is detected, the dehumidifier automatically switches to a power-saving sleep state.
- Manual Mode: Allows you to manually adjust settings to adapt to changing humidity levels.

4.4 Additional Features

5. Drainage Options
The CREWORKS 145 PPD Dehumidifier offers flexible drainage solutions.
5.1 Built-in Water Pump
The integrated water pump allows for continuous drainage, even to elevated or distant locations. The pump can lift water up to 16.4 ft. vertically.
- Automatic Drainage: Water is automatically pumped out as it collects.
- Vertical Drainage: Capable of pumping water upwards.
- Horizontal Drainage: Suitable for draining water across longer distances.
- Remote Drainage: Ideal for situations where the dehumidifier is in a crawl space and drainage is needed elsewhere.

5.2 Gravity Drainage
For situations where gravity drainage is sufficient, a shorter hose can be used to drain water directly to a lower-level drain.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the efficient and long-lasting operation of your dehumidifier.
6.1 Cleaning the Air Filter
The dehumidifier is equipped with a washable air filter to capture dust and debris.
- Turn off and unplug the dehumidifier.
- Locate the air filter access panel, typically on the side or back of the unit.
- Remove the filter.
- Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting.
- Reinstall the dry filter and close the access panel.

6.2 General Cleaning
- Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
