5. Setup and Installation
5.1 Placement
Place the pump horizontally in the drip tray. A slight tilt is also acceptable, ensuring the water level sensors are higher than the water inlet. This allows the pump to automatically detect the water level and drain condensation effectively.

Image: Diagrams showing correct installation: either perfectly horizontal or with a slight tilt, ensuring the water inlet is submerged.
Important: Do not invert the pump. Ensure the water level sensors are always higher than the water inlet. If the pump is inverted or the sensors are lower than the inlet, the pump will not automatically stop, potentially leading to continuous operation or overflow.

Image: Diagrams illustrating incorrect installation: the pump inverted or tilted such that the sensors are below the water inlet, which prevents proper operation.
5.2 Tubing Connection
Connect appropriate 6 mm (0.23") I.D. tubing to the pump's barbed water outlet. The pump has a built-in check valve to prevent backflow.

5.3 Electrical Connections
The pump comes with a 6.6 ft power cord and safety switch wires. The power plug is ETL certified. For electrical connections, identify the Live (L), Neutral (N), and Earth (E) wires. The green wire on the plug is the earth wire.
Caution: If you are unsure about electrical connections, consult a qualified professional or your AC system company's technical personnel.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Automatic Operation
The pump operates automatically based on water levels detected by its internal sensors:
- The pump will start pumping when the water level reaches approximately 1 cm (0.34 inches) above the lowest sensor.
- The pump will stop pumping when the water level drops below the two lowest sensors, typically around 2 cm (0.78 inches) from the bottom.

Image: Details on the pump's automatic start and stop water levels: 2 cm (0.78") to start, 1 cm (0.34") to stop. It also indicates the 2.5 cm (0.98") level for safety switch activation.
6.2 Water Level Sensors
The pump is equipped with four water level sensors to manage operation and safety:
- When the water level is lower than sensors 1 and 2, the pump will stop pumping.
- When the water level reaches sensor 3, the pump will start pumping.
- When the water level reaches sensor 4, the safety switch will activate to shut off your AC system, preventing overflow.
Each sensor is covered with a transparent protective film to prevent excessive dirt accumulation.

6.3 Indicator Lights
The pump features three indicator lights to provide operational status:
- READY (Green): Indicates that power is connected to the pump.
- PUMPING (Orange): Illuminates when the pump is actively draining water.
- ALARM (Red): Lights up when excessive water intake poses a risk of overflow, indicating the safety switch has been triggered or is about to be.

7. Maintenance
The MSELTOS condensate pump is designed for easy maintenance. Regular cleaning of the water inlet filter is recommended to ensure optimal performance and prevent blockages.
- The water inlet is openable, allowing for easy access to the filter screen.
- Periodically remove any accumulated dirt or debris from the filter screen to maintain efficient water flow into the pump.

8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your condensate pump, consider the following:
- Pump Not Starting/Stopping Automatically: Verify that the pump is installed correctly (horizontal or slight tilt) and that the water level sensors are positioned higher than the water inlet. Incorrect placement can prevent proper automatic operation.
- Reduced Flow Rate or No Pumping: Check the water inlet filter for blockages. Clean any debris that may have accumulated. Ensure the tubing is not kinked or obstructed.
- Alarm Light On: This indicates a high water level, suggesting a potential overflow risk. Check for blockages in the drain line, ensure the pump is functioning, or verify the safety switch connection to your HVAC system.
- No Power: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged in and that the power outlet is functional. Check the 'READY' indicator light.
