2. Important Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, always follow basic safety precautions when using an electrical appliance, including the following:

  • Read all instructions before using the appliance.
  • Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.
  • Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children.

  • Turn off all controls before unplugging.
  • Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
  • Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present.
  • Store the appliance indoors. Put away after use to prevent accidents.
  • Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to battery pack, picking up or carrying the appliance.
  • Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
  • Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.

4. Setup and Initial Charging

4.1 Assembly

  1. Attach the Extension Tube: Insert the flexible extension tube into the main vacuum body until it clicks securely into place.
  2. Attach the Brush Head: Connect the motorized brush head to the other end of the extension tube, ensuring it locks firmly.
  3. Install Wall Mount (Optional): Choose a suitable location for the wall mount. Secure it to the wall using the provided screws and anchors.

4.2 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the vacuum cleaner. The battery is partially charged upon delivery, but a full charge ensures optimal performance and battery longevity.

  • Connect the power adapter to the charging port on the main vacuum body or the wall mount.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off and Mode Selection

  • Press the power button to turn the vacuum on or off.
  • Use the mode selection button on the handle to cycle through the three power modes: Eco (up to 60 minutes runtime), Standard (up to 40 minutes runtime), and Turbo (up to 20 minutes runtime). The LED display will show the current mode and remaining battery life.

5.2 GreenEye Technology

5.3 Flexible Tube and Attachments

  • Flexible Tube: The flexible extension tube allows you to easily reach under low furniture like beds and sofas without bending down. Simply press the hinge release button to bend the tube.
  • Crevice Tool: Ideal for narrow spaces, corners, and edges.
  • 2-in-1 Brush Tool: Use the brush for delicate surfaces like upholstery or curtains, and the nozzle for general dusting.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your Ultenic U16 Flex.

6.1 Emptying the Dustbin

  • Ensure the vacuum is turned off.
  • Press the dustbin release button to detach the dustbin from the main body.
  • Position the dustbin over a trash can and press the bottom release latch to empty its contents.
  • Close the dustbin lid and reattach it to the main body until it clicks.

6.2 Cleaning Filters

The Ultenic U16 Flex features a 6-layer filtration system, including an H11 HEPA filter. Regular cleaning of filters is crucial for maintaining suction power and air quality.

  • Remove the dustbin and then carefully remove the internal filters (metallic filter, cyclone, pre-motor HEPA filter).
  • Tap the filters gently to remove loose dust.
  • Rinse the washable filters under cold running water until the water runs clear. Do not use detergents.
  • Allow all filter components to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reassembling. Do not use a dryer or other heating devices.
  • Reassemble the filters and dustbin in reverse order.

6.3 Cleaning the Brush Head

The anti-tangle brush system helps prevent hair from wrapping around the roller, but occasional cleaning may still be necessary.

  • Ensure the vacuum is off and disconnected from power.
  • Release the brush roller from the brush head (refer to the brush head diagram for specific release mechanism).
  • Remove any tangled hair or debris from the brush roller and the brush head cavity. A pair of scissors may be used carefully to cut through stubborn tangles.
  • Reinsert the brush roller until it locks into place.
